Adopted Eurasian Collared Dove 

I loved mine for 16 years. She just passed recently. I wish I could adopt another one. her name was Honey!

They procreated very fast and proficiently!

I have one white dove with a blach neck collar. They are very rare where I live, South Australia. I picked this one up three years ago. It had no collar then. It asked for food. I have no idea where it came from. It lives with me in the house, and in a cage. I have seen another one that came to say hello, and never came back. My bird escaped about two years ago, and came daily to be fed by hand. I caught it after three months and put it back in its cage; a magpie attacked it while free and would have killed it had I not rescued it. Better alive in captivity than dead. It is not a fully humanised bird, but not fit to sutvive on its own either. It must have belonged to someone before it came my way.

These are Ring Neck Doves. Eursssian Collar can be seen in my Doves Play list.

These are probably Barbary pigeons (Streptopelia roseogrisea) and not Balkan pigeons (Streptopelia decaocto). I'm pretty sure about that.

Let them free. They would be in trees singing and every day come down ask for food. Mine do but they are free and fly 🕊️

Nice I live in Wisconsin I has the idea to build a nice dove cage and area for them.on my patio and in the winter them.inside on my inside heated porch 😀

You should let them ROAM FREE. Geeze, OPEN those cages. They are NOT your prisoners. This is so sad.

Are these doves good breeder in a colony cage. Their breeding season in summer or winter. Javed from pakistan

They are domestic ringnecks, form or subspecies of the eurasian collared dove, its an easy mistake to make, atleast u got Pet doves since eurasians are best to keep wild
