Loved hearing about your journey to bring Strider home. She truly found her pot of gold with you & I couldn't be happier for all of you! Would love to see follow-up videos.
Hi Susan! Thanks for your part in alerting us to the borders in need which helped us find our way to Strider! You will always be a part of our rescue story and we so appreciate your commitment to this breed. We will definitely do follow-up videos!
Hey Smudge! Strider says, thanks so much! She's really adapting well to our home and loves snuggling up on the sofa & taking walks. Thanks for tuning in & commenting!
Dansby looks so much happier now! What a neat episode about border terriers and the sad but ever-timely topic of the scourge of puppy mills. Your new pup is incredibly adorable! How cool of you to go so far to adopt your pup, and to Vlog about it. I knew a fox terrier named “Raspberry” in France, which was pronounced over there as “Rrrrasberrie.” (The owner’s daughter’s name was Framboise, raspberry in French. 😂) I’ve been wondering whether you’re familiar with Karen Pryor, author of “Don’t Shoot the Dog,” popularizer of clicker training, and originator of the enormously popular phenomenon of Clicker Expo? Also whether you’ve heard of Hannah Brannigan who speaks at Clicker Expo and is an instructor, author and a very high-level competition obedience trainer? They’re both super famous trainers in the R+ world, and they have-you guessed it: border terriers. That’s a pretty big endorsement of your breed! ❤
Thanks! Dansby is so much happier and more relaxed and he LOVES Strider! They have taught each other so much and are the best playmates which helps because before her, he was non-stop, high-energy and he has mellowed since he has such a great outlet for his energy with her. Yes, I have a couple of Karen's books but am not familiar with Hannah. I'll look her up for sure! I'm also not familiar with Clicker Expo, so I'll look that up too!
