adopting a new kitten!!! 😻 + trying costco birria ramen 🍜 

hi everyone!!! sorry for the lack of vlogs lately -- it's been super busy and hectic with our new kitten Oli! but i'm getting back into the swing of things and will have a more consistent vlogs coming soon!! love y'all 💕💕

Oli is such a perfect name for him! I work at Mini Cat Town and he was just the sweetest, silliest boy (and so good with health checks!). We would always joke he was a liquid because of how floppy he gets when you hold him. He was absolutely a fan favorite with the volunteers. When I found out who adopted him I had to do a double-take (since I've been following for years lol). It's so nice to actually get to see him so happy. I wish the best for you guys and him and Toni's adjustment. It can take some time and be stressful for sure but don't give up!!

I introduced 3 sets of cats. The breeders always suggested that you introduce them through a closed door for a week. It really works well. Then your existing cat gets added into the kitten room supervised, and they figure things out themselves. Hope this helps!❤

This worked for me when I adopted a little boy for my female cat too. Having them exchange scents on blankets/ beds and feeding them at the same time using safe space apart. When it’s time for it, let them play together with the same toys and also let Toni explore the area that Oli is kept in while he isn’t there. Maybe take him to a different room or let him explore the rest of the house while Toni goes into the room for a bit to look around. Wishing you good luck in introducing your family! It took me about a month to get the cats together and trust them to be together without me supervising. Now they’re the cutest of siblings!

So cute 😍 When I introduced my kitties we followed a similar thing and it sort of worked but what really helped is we did a short road trip with both kitties and they bonded over how miserable the car ride was lol and ever since they’ve been best friends. They also were together in a new spot so there wasn’t any territorial issues.

I've introduced a few different cats to each other and it's definitely a process. Just listen to them, be very attentive when you do let them in the same room, etc. i introduced fosters to my resident cats and it took about a month but now they love to play together. they're not best friends but they're not hissing or anything either. patience is key, as you said! don't give up. it's helpful that your kitten doesn't care and you only have to convince the other half. he's super cute! love to see a youtuber who loves cats.

hi meimei, I have 4 cats at home and for us, they all lived with brothers and sisters when they were younger. I don't know if this influenced the fact that it took less than 2 days for them to be ok with each other but honestly, all we did was just make them meet and then isolate the new kitten for the night and in the morning we let the little kitten meet the other ones. love your videos!
