Tears swelled up in Tracey Malone's eyes as she watched her five children.
For the first time, the siblings were together.
"It made every ounce of this journey worth it," she said.
For the past two years, Eric and Tracey Malone of Baxter have tried to adopt 2-year-old Maddie from an orphanage in Chatulay, Haiti.
A series of setbacks made the family think they would never get young Maddie home to Minnesota.
Until Friday.
Maddie arrived at the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport in the arms of Tracey with big brother 16-year-old Austin close behind.
The glass doors opened to nearly three dozen people clenching tissues, balloons, flowers and "Welcome home Maddie" signs.
