It's been an emotional and glorious few days playing our 5 sold out UK shows that were simultaneously a reunion and a farewell tour all rolled into one.
We wanted to finally end the band on a high, to rewrite history, as our original demise was against a backdrop of band tensions, press hostility, public indifference and a label who didn't want us anymore. These were for many years the abiding memories of how the band finished.
But now we have re-written the ending, and it will be one of love and appreciation that we got in the bucket load from those who traveled from both near, and mind-staggeringly far.
We met people who had made the trip over from Ireland, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Russia, Israel, Brazil, USA, Canada, Australia & Japan to see us (please add in the comments below if you came from a country not listed!). To say we were blown away by this level of commitment would be an understatement.
Piotr explained that it was words his mother once told him that it's the things in life you DON'T do that you tend to regret, rather than the things you do do. We we will take the memories of this last week to our dying days. What we pose to you is this - what is the thing that you haven't yet done in your life that one day you might regret not having ticked off your life list? Might now not be a time to think about doing it? Life is short. Do it.
massive thanks to everyone in the audience who came and were part of this magnificent few days, you helped us understand just how appreciated we are in a way that perhaps we didn't understand before.
We can now slip quietly back to our lives, happy in the knowledge that the band truly ended on a high.
