It’s so important how she said “our kids didn’t choose [tiny] life, we did. We want to give them space” because I think it shows how good of parents they are. Some people forget that their children are whole other humans
Right?!! I love that she said that! Because I see a lot of them, that don’t take into account their children.. I’ve thought of doing something like that one day, and all I ever ask myself is “my kids, what do I need to do to make this work for them?”
Ya and I like the fact that she even made sure the bed areas for her kids is big enough for when they grow up. Other vids I've seen that have beds for kids is very small
With Ryan's ru-vid.comUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE plan I was like one taken by the hand and led step by step from start to finish. Thank you very much Ryan!
I really like this layout. And this must make moving every 2-3 years with the military so much easier, especially when the kids are little. Wish we had known about these 20+ years ago!
I watched a british converted bus with almost the exact same layout about a year ago, and I'm guessing they took some inspiration from it because it's absolutely brilliant! I designed something similar to it too. I think it makes so much more sense than the typical narrow path at the middle of the bus. ❤️
Curiosity: Are they full timers now, or is this strictly a 'vacation/trip' setup? I like the way the Fridge is installed. Currently a 'beer' fridge, but nothing over it, so could easily put in an apartment fridge as the kids grow, if they are full-timing it...
Your home is beautiful and I love the girls rooms and their room to grow beds. Having some separation between the highs and you two was a great idea but still close enough for comfort. Awesome layout and attention to detail for the whole family. Thanks for sharing time home and family with us.
Love it ❤️. *** Tip*** You can gain more head space in the “Shower” by adding a skylight. OR- Not sure how that solar panel mount is lined up with the shower BUT if it was above it, you could gain a ton of height by cutting the hole, build it up and box it in. Obviously you could use plexi if you wanted or a simple roofing membrane. Making the skylight sit either under the mount box? (if it was lined up under it) OR- if it’s not, just making it slightly lower so you know no matter what it’s less than your max height. Either way it’s a beautiful bus and you guys did a great job.
Coming from another tour where the mom had an entire makeup drawer and 30 pairs of shoes. Seeing how differently you did it so the kids had space, it made me so happy to see that not all parents are like that. Good job!
I absolutely love this build!! Every time I think I have one I would want to do for the future…I see another build that just has me thinking I want to redo my layout.❤️
As a retired school bus driver/instructor you are using the safest mode of transportation. School buses are made for safety and usually unless you roll the other vehicle is worse in damage and injuries. Enjoy the ride!
I know everyone says this but that is one of the best bus layouts (with kids) I have seen! The only thing I would change is (and they probably didn't have the room) I would add a pocket door for the toilet room and one for the mom/dad's bedroom. What an amazing bus and family. Cheers!
Just wanted to let you know when I entered your code it didn't work but then I was like, duh, take out the exclamation point. Then it gave me a discount. TGIF lol
I think tiny house living works only for healthy single people or couples. Kids will not adapt to it. especially when starting relationships. Seconds problem: What when they grow old or one is ending up handicapd. These tiny houses of any kind are not suitable for such kind of people . I f. e. could NOT live in such a thing.
I'm so impressed with the layout, the design, the spaciousness, and all the love and all the hard work that went in to their home on wheels. I'd like to thank the husband for his service to our country. I'd also like to thank his wife for the roll she plays/ed as a military spouse. And last but not least, I'd like to see military BRATS are the best. His children will have the greatest life. I was raised a BRAT, and am the wife of a veteran. May God bless this family, and our country. 🙏🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲🙏
We met you (parked across from you) at Skooliepalooza last Feb. IIRC it was your first trip in the bus. We liked your floorplan so much that I sketched it afterwards to remember it. Fun to see the little improvements you've made since then. 😆
I wish where they get their water from and throw their waste .. composting toilet and otherwise were also talked about. Also parking space when they travel. It would be that much more helpful than they already are. ^_^
It's nice but sorry this is not good for kids because they will grow they will not fit in that space. Also if they want friends over!! It is what it is that's there life
This is a gorgeous bus build ! A great use of space and the colors are really warm and inviting. What an amazing life you are giving to your family and children they will always remember this time. Safe travels and many happy memories ! #@BeachNest
Love your home, very beautiful design especially the kitchen, what a hallway, bunk area is just wonderful, love, love the bathroom set up, I love that the bed does not take up the entire space, a very beautiful design 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕.
I like to see people living on their own terms. The bus is chic, fab and homey. The kids are so cute. God bless and good luck fam. Love from the Bahamas 🇧🇸.
Very nice build-out. This couple had gr8 imagination they turned into plans . . . and carried them out to end up with this beautiful comfy looking home.
35 thousand dollars for a home that you can take wherever you wanna go and be together and comfortable... now that's how you live life...nice build and thanks for sharing 🙏🏿💪🏿✌🏿💯
I have been building out my own bus and this gives me a lot of great ideas that I didn't think were possible. I had a favorite bus, but this one may take it's spot! Love it!!!
This is the most FAMILY FRIENDLY BUS LIFE HOME IVE EVER SEEN!! I LOVE THE LAY OUT!! And it works so well for them !! It really fits their personalities and family !! One of My FAVORITES !! JENN … I Always Thank You For Your Videos BUT I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR MAKING THSES VIDEOS AND ALL THE HARD WORK & TRAVELING YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE THEM👍🏼🥰💖 They’re Greats videos and I always Enjoy Watching Them 🥰👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🥰
It's a very very nice bus--the design with it's corners makes it like a home. The skylight is amazing--gives the extra light. I love your kitchen area with its interesting set up and your couch is so home...Your kids bunk bed is functional except that it may be too small for your growing daughter--who is lying down most of the time--not a good posture. But you do have interesting functioner bunk beds and bathroom and toilet. I love you bed and the wonderful idea of building the stars to get up. Hopefully others will like it too and follow some of the designs. So far this is one the better ones. Great job...
Love the build! Excellent choices of sink and stove, IMHO. I/we make/freeze large batches of food, so would opt for a larger fridge and microwave more, but cooking from scratch is a great family experience, so your kids will learn that also! Kudos also for locating plumbing all on one side. I designed Mom-in-law's house on our property that way to save plumbing costs and hassle. Kitchen, master bath/toilet/shower and laundry plumbing share a wall between them (kitchen on one side). Great job as always, Jenna! :-)
Best layout I've seen. Love the kids bunk set up. Very clever. I think if you go totally skoolie, you may regret not having a larger fridge. Just saying...
I commented below this one....I disagree with the ending ad. I'm 62 and buy a good spray bottle and bulk chemicals for what ever I need to do...much cheaper. Just saying, I know you need sponsors, but after 50 plus years of seeing ads once every 30 minutes to constantly clicking "x" buttons to turn them off....I personally get tired. They should pay you generously and be much shorter. With 1m subs you don't need them except on your terms.
Okay I've watched quite a few of your videos, recently sub'd. This one at 8:40 or so was hilarious ! I am interested in tiny houses and schoolies(sp). The school bus idea is hitting me good...don't need a tow vehicle, but smaller square footage. Watched 3 of these...have ideas, but....? On buying, what to look for for two people around 60 yrs of age and want to travel?
Wow very beautiful, no words, god bless your family, behind beauty of your home, how much effort and how much hard work you put it ? I can understand, live happily with your cute kids, stay safe, once again your home is like paradise, tq 🙏,this is lathaji from india, andhrapradesh
"Give kids space"...Heres your prison bunk for the rest of your life. No we are heading to our HUGE bedroom. I saw parents who did the opposite, gave the kids the big space and they took a small pullout. I dont like these parents
I like the lay out… bathroom (not shower) may need a redo/redesign… I like the separation driver’s seat area, front living area, kitchen, kids room, shower, master bedroom… toilet area needs a new concept..
Love the layout just don’t let children lay down while eating that’s a choke hazard I learned the hard way you just never think it’ll happen til it happen except me saving my kid my kid saved me I was laying down sucking on a cough drop when it slid down my throat cutting off my airway I jumped up holding my throat running to my son rm for help my child saw me and panicked and just started pounding on my bk hard as he good and the couch drop came up with force flew out my mouth and hit the wall🙏🏿it’s something I’ll never forget because that was the scariest thing ever! So please be carful ♥️
Maybe i'm wrong, but i feel like this bus life isn't Good for kids. Their social life cant exist. How will they make friends? It's a vital part of a child's life to have friends.
Every European immigrant's home is adorable and perfect. Even if they are not. The usage of entitled words to describe this ordinary and obnoxious family must be avoided.
This is the 1st couple i see acknowledging them needed privacy. Others always act like, privacy isn't a thing. Some sleep on the couch or no door in their bedroom. I mean even just to have arguments sometimes or have a grown up convo, you need some privacy.
Does the cleaners have scents or do the make ones that are scent free and do they kill the covid virus 🦠. I have asthma and can’t handle any scents. Do they make laundry soaps that are disinfecting and also scent free? Love the Schoolie bus 🚌 It definitely does not look like a bus but a home. I bet other soon to be schoolie bus owners might buy your floor plan if given the chance
I hope you give us a tour of your (newer) remodeled tiny home soon :) I love the tall ceilings and wood beam you are standing under at the beginning.. not sure which tiny house this is though. Your little girl is growing so much. What a cutie!
With two small kids aboard I would be stocking more food on the bus,dry and tin , the chance of breaking down is 90%in an old bus ,plenty of drinking water is a plus as well
God loves you and he wants to save everyone, but in order for him to do that, you need to repent and be baptized, also share his gospel with everyone you come in to contact with and keep his commandments 🙏🏾😘
Your bed could have been placed on hinges to lift up for under the bed storage. Bathroom sink in the hall way isnt practical. And why not some craft paint or window cling foe the bathroom window. A sky light for the shower is a good idea since it was done in the kitchen.
