Willow and I have an impromptu kitchen competition!
All I was trying to do was make brownies but she had other plans. I could tell she wasn’t in the mood to follow directions so I set her up with some flour, barley and water to play with while I baked. She was upset I wouldn’t give her milk to add (which is why she brings it up so much) but she worked through it and actually stayed in place for over half an hour mixing and pouring over and over! These are just the highlights. ☺️

😂 Yes!! That intensity. Willow can't exactly be accused of being half - hearted, can she? 😂 I think that characteristic, plus her intelligence, plus her charm will take her very far in life.

I expect to see her on a baking or cooking competition one day.... She is definitely my favorite chef, ice cream truck owner, diner manager..... And watching her play guess in 10 warms my heart

Plus in character saying she doesn't have to be nice and then to herself "actually I do." She knows right from wrong and self-corrects when she says something like that.

Willow, that's how I cook! The TV show "Chopped" inspires me to get in and out of the kitchen in 30 minutes with whatever ingredients are in the house!!! 🧑🏿‍🍳 You GO, girl!

She is so adorable! And so many fun moments from her and mom. Both reactions are priceless. We also get a sweet look at 4YO language acquisition ("I didn't have" - getting the sentence structure and guessing at what was meant) and the tiny bit of realization of the mess without breaking character shows she likely knows she'll have to clean it up, but tell her if she ever complains about it that her customers and viewers love it and it's well worth it. It's like a thater group packing up the sets. ( or maybe you've both developed an even more imaginative description of what she is doing when cleaning up.) I could probably watch this a few times and keep catching different unique aspects.

Her teachers will love her! These moments only happen in the little ages. You should let her decorate cookies or cupcakes. You may want to look up homemade play dough. She would love it. Or dough that she can air dry her stuff then paint. Use cookie cutters. You could make Christmas ornaments. Don't forget to put a hole for the chord. That way you will have plenty of time for her to paint. You can make pumpkins and ornaments for each holiday. These make great necklaces. Great teachers gifts.

The weirdest thing about some interjections of her might be that they feel like she was breaking the fourth wall. There is a rather sincere quasi theatrical denominator at the ground of this. Such misterious things are at play, like beating opaque water, like waiting for Godot, or the bowl to stiffen up.
