How to make a DIY makeup organizer? I have illiquid jeans. There is no sense longer to wear these jeans but I cam recycle it. I decided to make my own zippered cosmetics bag out of old jeans. Sewing such a bag is quite simple. Watch the video tutorial step by step and do the same actions to have this organizer jeans bag! I just made it and it turned out beautifully. The outside switches from the compartment hide well in the patterned material. The handle stitches hide behind the inside panel. I didn't use jeans so I my second bag I'm using fusible fleece on the outside piece and fusible interfacing on the matching lining piece to give it more structure. I also tacked the zipper compartment down. I absolutely love how these lay flat so you don't have to dig for your stuff.

Great, but I'm thinking I can well possibly have all the pockets inside seen on the lining before closing everything up, and then instead of serging or zigzagging the two sides, how about binding then with tiny bias tape made with either a contrasting color fabric or the lining....just my opinion though, I'm gonna try to re-shape the pouch in my way😉😉

I've seen a few of these😊 on here. But you've done the best one as so easy to follow along with you ❤️ . I love 😂 style and my sister carts so much make up everywhere she goes. So once I can see my sewing table under all the fabrics. This is a for sure. And have to make one for myself while Im at it. Very nice pattern for Too many uses. Would it be better if the lining with the pouches were assembled separately and then fitted to the main body The same goes for the handle... @@AsagaoSTL If you look at the end video you can't see any stitches so I think she must have attached all the internal pockets to the lining first.

Bombcherryjuice is right. You did a second bag where you attached the pouches and pockets just to the lining but you didn’t think to warn us or show your mistake or change the video- …. Same for the handle. All your stitching should have shown up on the jeans whether you use invisible nylon thread or cotton.

This bag in the video had to be made with a lot of RU-vid magic. The stitches are not showing on the outside because the last bag isn’t the bag created on camera. The handle would have ruined the lining and the lining would have ruined the outside of the bag. Many of these videos are click bait. If you follow them you would end up spending money and having a project that is nothing like the one that is presented. Beware.

You are absolutely correct … this video is a knock off of a different one … there they show how to sew all the pockets to the lining and the handle to the outside fabric first, before combining them.

Doesn't look like magic to me. She uses different bobbin thread to match the fabric on the outside. And from my experience usually stitches on denim are really hard to see when using matching thread.

@@ТатьянаОгонек13 это надо пришить на подкладку все карманы ДО соединения с верхом. Тогда не получится так лихо прошить подкладку и верх, но тут уж выбор за вами. Делаю такую же сумку, но пришиваю карманы на подкладку до соединения с верхом. Чуть более кропотливо, но аккуратнее выходит, нет строчек по лицу.

Более облегченный вариант, но и чуть менее аккуратный. Делаю такую же сумку по другому варианту, более кропотливому, но зато нет строчек на лицевой части. Этот тоже имеет место быть. Объяснение хорошее.
