So there is this Melbourne radio DJ called Systa B.B. who does a show called "The good, the dub and the global", and well, I have been listening to her show for maybe 20 years now, maybe more? In all that time she has played some killer music and whenever she mentions Adrian she bangs on like he's some kind of musical genius or god. I mean, I have never heard something that I didn't like but just didn't get the whole "musical genius" thing, I guess dub and reggae never really got under my skin despite all the exposure I've had over the years. I like it but I like other music more, often much more. So Adrian was due to play a DJ set at a music festival I often go to and I wasn't gunna miss this chance to see him live. See what all the fuss was about. I was up the back, thousands of people around me when the set began. A few tracks in and I found myself right up the front, I got drawn into the pit which is where I like to be for the acts I like best when they play this festival. I had good friends in there with me, and thousands of others, it was busy in there but there was still good room to move. By the end of the set I realized that Systa B.B. was right all along. He IS some kind of God. He opened me up to music I couldn't get before and i'm now hooked. Thanks Systa and thanks Adrian, I have new ears now that were never awakened before and i'm loving it. I'm LOVING IT!!
