Man I miss being in my teens. I used to roll K2 Fatty's with the red shark skin. Just bought a pair of Rollerblade NJ5's. Hoping it's like riding a bike and just comes back to me over time.
I had a pair of k2 fattys as well. I got mine used from a good friend of mine in 2000. They were pretty much brand new i ended up giving him a $50 bag of weed for them.. i had those skates until 2010 i ended up hurting myself at the skatepark and got pissed and trashed them along with another pair of k2s i had been using for parts... How i regret that now.. hha
Wow this really takes me back, and makes me grateful! New folks coming up today will have no clue how good they have it. As someone coming back now after skating in the mid 90's to early 2000's, the skates now are lightyears ahead of where they were back then.
I've got bruises and injuries just watching that. How you guys do that without padding blows me away. You must be built like wolverine. Those bauers were the first skates I ever tried imported from Canada before inline was a thing in the UK. Orange hyper wheels were the shit!
Wow this takes me back to the 90's... had some of the best summers of my life! We did everything...basketball, football (soccer for all my American friends here in the UK) even played roller hockey for a bit as well but skating just had the boom back then and we all did it... great memories!
Nice game and by the way I like that you are trying to set a name to what we do, I agree the most correct way in English should be inline skating. Well done keep up with the hard work
Man, Ricardo. I could never Royale on my Troopers and I thought it was me. It's the one trick I always wanted to learn but could never hit. Fell so much. This video brought me so much joy, thank you. Brings back my teenage years
Love the concept ! I actually started street skating with some Roces Charles De Gaule, a kind a speed skating with an aluminium frame. I can't believe I dropped the big ramp and frontsided small rails with thoses.
it could for sure.. but we wanted to make people feel like they were there..hahaah :) hope you enjoyed...or hope you will when you have time to watch it.. we had sooo much fun filming this..
U know the 90s Skates were designed for 90s tricks right? So just fishbones, sitting bulls and UFOs in the next blade game lol Btw if you need beats check out my stuff. Free to use for skate edits ;P blade on
Are those Rollerblade “Storm Troopers”? Those were the vert model. I had the white chocolates. Mostly the same, but the street version. They had the same crazy ankle strap! But not the cool logo. You made me feel good taking about how hard grinds are in them! Maybe I was better than I gave myself credit for back in the day!
haha, i still have my old pair of "TG (toto ghali) pro model". not sure if i'd describe it as iconic or plain ugly, but they were the most destinct and chunky looking skates ever. good times!
Bauer frontsides were my 1st aggressive rollerblades. Got them for $30 bucks brand new from Ross...who would've thought that those is what got me started lol
I've recently return to blading and been skating my old bauer respects. Watching this has confirmed my suspicion that it is actually the skates that makes grinding so hard to learn. I can't wait to pick up some new skates, and I suspect the difference will be night and day with how difficult it is to grind
My very first skates were Bauer F3 before those versions came out which were based on the F3. I remember taking off the second wheel to grind and then later using a file to flatten the frame on the inside and installing Scribe grind plates
i remember when bauer pro skates was the shiiit! i skatet with the bauer team alot, cool people. but maaan we did have alot of competion between us m12 users and the bauer bladers.
@@RicardoLino Hmm. Not sure if mine were shiftys. I remember they had that metal grind plate. The boot was all black with some purple, and the liner had some yellow. I think it was their first aggressive skate. I have been able to find pictures. And I'm not sure if they were shiftys
Shit I had the boxcars as well!!! Wow what nostalgia... after that I upgraded to the argons. Feels strange even saying these words again after all these years... still have my argons in the loft.. haven't worn them since 99!
Lol awesome guys. I had the Lightning TRS 96-97? (same as Chris Edwards) as my first aggressive skate and the royale groove was huge from grinding, it had to be. I learned to backslide on those bad boys. Those dam things needed soul block plates in the front and rear which I had. The rear pretty much had no soul at all. My top acids were super stretched because of the high frames. Good stuff guys, fun to watch . 👍👍.
yea! love it! love to see more games of b.l.a...... I mean, games of inline! frank and I are doing our online game of blade too.... should probably change it to inline, lol!
oh man i remember those tricks.. lol i started on roller blades then got soloman st9's (i still have them) 20+ years ago if i could skate again i would.. i was in the top five in NE England before i got hurt
My first pair of skates were Rollerblade Lighting and I remember bugging my parents for the tarmac ce and my dad surprised me with troopers then i had oxygen 3.1s my current skates are solo tribe
What? A skateboader letting an inliner wax something, if you did that in any skatepark in Oregon the skateboaders would beat you to death with their skate-tuck. Truth, it has and does happen.
