I’m all about a new drop but as someone that has only played no mans sky single player this trailer is really odd to me. Don’t most people play no mans sky single player?
Not always, after the anomaly you find daily missions, and groups all the time in the hub. And on expeditions, people tend to create support bases along the rote for other players.

I'm a single player, but I'm not excited, I like to see signs of civilisation (other players and their bases/ships) but not really interact. Maybe I'll enjoy the update anyway though.
@@metaminerxbecause it's an expedition. You can play past that point though I doubt you would as there is 0 NPC's. So little no trading, upgrades, etc etc. The time limit is just for the rewards you can earn from completing challenges.
This game is refusing to let me forget about it. I love this game so much. Can't wait to start playing this again on my steam deck. But i still think its time to put nms to bed and focus on light no fire

Much like the Utopia Speeder and the Golden Vector, the Iron Vulture will be a sort of ultimate reward for the expedition, so we're SOL if we don't do it lol
I'm excited for the SWITCH update! I've been having a hard time to playing games because work life balance is extremely work from low energy but NMS is my chill game. I'm genuinely excited!
Honestly, I'd be up for a revamp of the Survival Mode with an off line option. Truly survival style, like what they are attempting here, but with the "normal" universe. No shops, no NPCs, just exploration and desolated lands, with odd fauna and weird flora. Yeah, sign me up.
for synthetic life form there are now player outpost to fast clear the task. I allready completed the expedition. if one stays and progress longer it gives more ductes units and nanites
Looks awesome! I can only imagine how ship customization would change if we eventually get to deconstruct all of the unique and exotic ships to piece together the one of our dreams! Thanks Jason!
Would be really cool if they added Galaxies with this format to the list of Galaxies. Empty dead Galaxies that you can occasionally bump into as you transit from Galaxy to Galaxy.
its not that multiplayer is disabled, everyone is invisible while in the anomaly but ships aren't and you can still send people items. if you meet someone on a planet or space station you can see and interact them.

I suggest you do multiple runs in the expedition then hand a friend the pieces of the new ship after you scrap it to see if we can transfer the ship parts between people and trade them....
I haven't played it, but I wonder if this will lead to Hello games adding a new option to the modes where players can play in this kind of universe? Maybe not because there wouldn't be missions, so maybe an option for survival mode?
Its shocking to me that people said they play mostly single player alone.... I always try and play with friends or build in community planets. I really enjoyed the expedition but once it was over and I got to go back to my orginal save I was so happy to see the new orbital space stations. They did such a great job with Orbital Update I cannot immagine using the abandoned space stations anymore so if thats an alternative mode I dont think ill play it. Its nice on Expedition... But I like the new space stations and NPCs...lol I got several space ships on the expedition and I was like whats the point of salvaging ships if I cannot scrap or sell them? Game was boring if friends cannot come see my base or if I cannot see what they create.
hurray. No stupid Communication Stations left by other players. I sincere hate it when bases are stuffed with these things and you can't even choose to not see the damn things. I think I'll enjoy this one very much.
This is like total conspiracy theory on my part, but WHAT IF: they're doing this sort of "solitary expedition" because they wanna free up some server space to better test some new network features in their new game, Light No Fire?
Were they testing this recently? I swear I found myself in a system recently where there was no space station, and no buildings at all on the planet I was on... it was eery. I couldn't hop onto the space station to teleport back to my base so I had to fly to a nearby system using the map and find the space station there as usual.
I ran into a bug for the second to last milestone in phase 5, To Dream of Sleep, where it has me selecting the rendezvous 4 “to proceed” despite me already completing every single milestone before and after it. Anyone know of a fix?
I hope I'm not the only one who is curious about this, but I wonder if expedition 16 will have a super crazy and unique story and rewards, after all, 16 is the most lore heavy number in NMS.
I put money on it that the update was released early due to the rise in popular opinion that the anchor was a water update and would disappoint the majority
Man, never been a fan of expeditions. What I do know is that an actual content update is usually a month after it. Just like Omega-> Orbital. Excited for that at least!
Hey Jason, you're my last hope here homie. I got an update today on my ps5 for NMS, after it finished all of my save files are gone. Not only that, but when I fired up the game just about an hour ago it automatically uploaded my console data...17 seconds worth, to the cloud overwriting my cloud save. I've searched everywhere on the interwebz and no info is available, even on reddit. Do you know if there's a fix for this? I had over 6k hours bro.
@@vonlobo I found a distress signal, maybe another crashed ship. Might be able to salvage tritium out of it's tech but it's an hour away. It's ridiculus. Gonna watch Jason figure it out then do like him :)
Does anyone recommend to use an existing character over a new one? , the whole empty universe makes me unsure if I should take my current character that I am building a base with...
I just hope they add a creature and new planet biome update. I'm so tired of seeing the same creatures and planets over and over. I love the game but I hope they're aware of this.
Nms adrift on nintendo switch made my game glitchy oxygen machine glitch in and out had to buy my iron vulture after expedition none of the things i got from expedition came with me and lights not working on iron vulture and it wasn't called the iron vulture now my game crashes this sucks hello games fix this!!!!!! 😑
