Spring is coming :) the First day without Frost. Visiting an Old lock From 1706. Luck ! just passing by:)) The fence was there so you did not escape the toll on the twin lock:)) 1 cent!
Bezoek aan oude sluis in Aduarderzijl.

In summer it is better in terms of light. It has now been completely renovated and cleaned in 2024. Now it's a pearl...

Only one camera Theo..., but the good one :)))) I know I've said it before but I just love those Holga-look saturated colours, the blues and greens, absolutely great. And the lock is amazing, good solid engineering, natural materials and built to last. I can't help thinking they were somehow smarter than us, 300 years ago. Thanks for sharing. Atb, rich.

Yust 1. starting to like the little nobody:)))) Thanks! The Lock is also part of the Waterline in the Netherlands at the days:) The with and lengths of the country they put under water 10 km wide and 1.5 meters deep. to stop invasions from Spain and Germany in the days. Still in use, a monument:)) Its part of the water line for defence, the 80-year war against Spain and Germany. In the days. full width or length of our country was put under water 10 k wide 1.5 meters deep to stop invasions. Respect for the waterwork Guys from the days. Thanks :)
