This actually has a name. It's called Reverse Beat, a term coined by a lesser-known fighting game called Melty Blood, which has it as a universal mechanic for all characters. Melty Blood was actually developed by French Bread, the creators of Under Night In-Birth, which also has Reverse Beat for all characters.

But there is no chance to use it in advanced game

I was getting my shit RECKD last night with this guy 😂😂

He won't be quite that bad. No projectiles on every attack, so he doesn't get crazy increased range and chip damage. Even if he did, characters can't actually die from chip damage in FighterZ. He has no Level 1 super other than potential unleashed, so at level 7 he still needs 3 meters to do a super. Potential Unleashed seems to add minimal damage or speed, so he mostly just gets mixup and combo potential. Finally Sparking Blast isn't as obnoxious as X-Factor was, so no completely absurd speed ups that make final characters impossible to deal with. I honestly think Adult Gohan might be top tier, but people are going to need time in the lab to get him there.

Monstermarkus Yeah, but sparking blast seems kind of annoying for another reason, it heals incredibly fast.

goz what do you mean down quarter right/left? Do you mean quarter circle forwards and of backwards? You need to move your analog stick a quarter circle forwards or backwards depending on the Super you’re trying to use while simultaneously pushing the corresponding attack buttons, which would be light/medium or heavy/special.

goz you can use the dpad but you’re better off using the analog stick. It’ll read your input better.

I got the same problem and I always end up throwing ki blasts

The key is to press the button right after you move the joystick, if you do it too fast it wont work

Try using heavy attack + ki blast instead of R1 / RT

BRALE FAIL it is a beta after all there are supposed to be problems so they can fix them so it’s not like that on release date besides we are getting an open beta #2 confirmed on Bandai Namco’s twitter page just have patience 😁

BRALE FAIL Did that happen on Saturday? Because the problem was then. I played on Monday and had no trouble getting matches with only 3 to 4 frames of delay, which is actually a 2 bar connection and it still felt great.

Welp its called a beta for a reason, they knew something bad could happen with the servers so they used that as a test. They could of simply done like Guilty Gear Rev2 did and make a demo, that just had training mode and AI battles.

The way I understand it, you can connect hits that normally wouldn't when in level 7.

Normally characters can only combo from light to medium to heavy, but for gohan in P.U he can do things like medium to light to heavy. For skilled players it makes blocking harder as there are more combinations to worry about. This helps gohan open up players a lot easier.

Thanks guys. So in addition to light-medium-heavy (LMH) he could do MLH or HLM, etc? It's not that he has longer combo strings but ones that most players don't have, like heavy cancelling into light? That is seriously great if true

u can do a magic series in reverse order. So like heavy to medium to light, and it's usually flexible enough to let u do weird stuff like heavy to light to medium

Beerus coming Saturday. In the air, hit light-medium-light-medium. That's usually all you can do before you have to do something else in the air. Most of the times, finish that air combo with a heavy or a special attack

Level 2-6 simply increases his speed and damage.

I suck at fighting games too but I enjoy I am slowly getting better lol

Mine was mostly either Piccolo or Nappa and I had Gohan and 18 as the other two characters for most the the beta. Sometimes I would pop Goku in for Nappa for Piccolo also.

I think what they wanted to do was make Mystic Gohan the actual character but to stay true to the Anime they had to switch it to Adult Gohan so the Level 3 would make sense. They should’ve made him look like Regular Adult Gohan but when he uses the “Potential Unlocked” super that’s when he looks like this

NixUniverse Yeah, I agree. I get what they wanted or at least tried to do here but it's sorta mixed and scrambled, having him appear to already be in ultimate but revert to SSJ. It's something I'll get used to though it should be similar to Golden Frieza.

Maybe if he each match started as super saiyan, then when you unlock his potential his hair goes black. That'd be pretty cool.
