Dude, you're talking to her while on your phone. A little fricking decorum would be nice. I always saw Wednesday as more of a "homicide girl" rather than a Suicide Girl.
Montesama314 Sorry if OT, but I had that experience on a Match date. One woman took a phone call, a business phone call, right at the table minutes after meeting. I would’ve preferred the words “fuck you”.
It was banned. She was allowed to put the videos back up. But I don't think she can make anymore. www.dailydot.com/entertainment/adult-wednesday-addams-copyright-claim/

Such a shame the franchise owners couldn't get past their ego's and see what an interesting, well written and portayed this series was. A great opportunity missed by people that wouldn't recognise an opportunity if it came gift wrapped an neon lit. I rediscovered these the other day and they are still fresh and funny, great work.
Yeah...not that simple. She's a great writer and as I understand now she's writing for Marvel/Disney so this all worked out, but she knew she was using someone else's work. Until you volunteer YOUR work, comments like this are dumb.
@@ObsidianLife Yeah... not that simple. (putting aside fair use arguments (but good luck fighting those) and that the spirit of the OP was "bring her on board, not shut her down") MGM knows they're relying on a system that's been perverted beyond recognition (by Disney, mild amusement re: her She-Hulk episode) to stifle other people's work. Until you comprehend this, comments like yours are worse than dumb, they actively work against the Overton Window on the topic being shifted and this state of affairs being remedied. Which is to say, society only needs care about putting any effort towards providing systems, means, and resources for creators to protect their work if there's a good for society in return. And would you look at that, the original term was 14+14 to foster creativity by protecting income, and then public domain (like all those things Disney used to build their empire, ironically enough)... now it's such a perverse length that no child even born today would ever hope to be able to reimagine a work that was produced during their childhood, ever in their life, without working directly for that company. The Addams Family was first produced in 1938. That was 75 years when Melissa produced the series. That's enough time, even if you don't ascribe to 14+14, to protect income to foster creative work. Instead creativity was stifled. Sickening. Anyway, my tone (let alone mimicking you) may not do any favors, but this isn't for you, I've never encountered a productive conversation with someone either so ignorant of the roots of copyright, and so dismissive nonetheless, or perfectly fine with how things are, its for everyone else. So I wont be getting notifications or checking replies. Bye now.
we need this series and her abilities to make it a smart intresting humour that kept the authentic Wednesday Adams in a 2017 era ... the networks should be notified we want her as the acter and the series at least on RU-vid
@@PeterKruchowski The actress was very convincing but a little too serious. I'm a fan of the original Wednesday but I guess that actress would be way too old for this part.
This is a hidden gem…it’s ridiculous she didn’t make enough funds to continue creating this content. Especially since everyone likes the Netflix Wednesday.
She didn't continue it because the Foundation that runs the Addams Family started attacking her on RU-vid and putting copyright strikes. She made a video about it. It's really messed up what they did to her. Which is why I refuse to support the Foundation that is in control of the Addams Family now. No thanks.
@@QuantumSorceress yeah that definitely seems pretty f’d up. She’s was extremely good at this and it damn sure entertained the hell outta me. I wanted more. It’s kinda frustrating, knowing this is all we get.
1964 my dude. I still like the old show. It’s a little goofy by todays standards, but I still like it. The 1990s version was decent as well (which they did a lot more with Wednesday and Pugsley). Between Addam’s Family and The old Black and White ‘Zorro’ on late night reruns, my teenage years were well spent!
I told myself if I ever met a guy who could appreciate that I could do an accurate “I’m a Homicidal Maniac. They look just like everyone else”, I’d date him. 😁 We celebrated 25 years of marriage in 2020.
Please Make more of these!!! I'd rather donate $19.99 here than paying it to Netflix for a series that falls so short after realizing I love your episodes much more!
You'd be surprised how often I get weird looks from waiters/waitresses when I order hot water. One actually grilled me once on it. Granted, not many order hot water, so I'm sure he just wanted to get it right. Waiter: "You mean no ice?" Me: "No. Hot, please." Waiter: "So, warm water then?" Me: "No, hot, like hot coffee or hot tea." Waiter: "Really? Can I ask why?" Me: "It's January and your manager has the AC cranked up."
I freaking lose it laughing every time I watch these. My fav scene I think from the actual movies is when she hijacked the effing "Thanksgiving dinner." I've completely lost it laughing so hard on acid watching that more than once.
I still can’t believe the stupidity of the alleged copyright holders in preventing Melissa Hunter from being Adult Wednesday Addams. Together, they could have made great art - and lots of money. Apart, well, ….😢
The moral flip is what made the Addams Family awesome. The scenario is someone asks an Addams some question with a moral undertone of condemnation. The member of the Addams Family asks a question which scales the moral condemnation up by times a hundred. Example: Waitress- "Is that blood?" Wednesday- "Is that a blood diamond?" This fan fiction love letter was the only show worthy of following the movies. It's the only one since that gets what made the Addams Family, the Addams Family.
I think these vignettes are perfect the way they are. Wednesday is so complete just by herself interacting with others on a personal level. One could say she has a "way" about her. It's all too perfect.
I'm glad the powers that be decided to finally realise she was the best thing going for "The Adams Family" publicity. Congrats on your perseverance. Subscribed and watching for more of your releases.
I love this sketch, actually she would be the best date that keeps you on your toes. This would have been a wonderful show on primetime. As for the actress, she knows how to play part perfectly. Thanks
@@FdupTV Oh that's awesome! I am happy for her. She really did an amazing job at this rendition of Wednesday. Also, now that I saw Jenna Ortega's performance, she was wonderful too.
I have to somewhat agree with most on here, I wish both sides could've worked something out to bring us ( and the world) an excellent spin off of the Addams Family while at the same time making both a good budget and profit for both. These few episodes We get to watch are exactly what one would imagine Wednesday to grow into from the original series.
Honestly, the more I watch this, the more normal she looks... Aside from a couple of cases, she acted pretty straight forward and have much more logic in her words then most people...
Fantastic. Gives me the old love and feeling of the Addam's Family with a more relevant edginess in the commentary on modern mores. Thanks for this project.
Wednesday always was my favourite character in the TV show. Well, her and Uncle Fester. Glad to see Wednesday is so popular, she even gets a show to see what she is as an adult.
And I mean the Wednesday of the New Addams Family, whom this show clearly is drawn from. In the original 60s show, she was a shy, cute, little girl, not that brooding, dark goth we all know and love.
I love that Sara Bareilles' Love Song was playing in the background. Nice touch if that was intentional lol. Melissa Hunter is a genius. I would love to see Wednesday going on dates with other types of guys.
This is what the Netflix series should've been. Well, not this exactly because then it would just be a copy but THIS is Wednesday grown up, not that teen angst "it's not just a phase mum" stereotypical teenager version we got.
