Hi Ashley! Hello from Texas with some help for your dried up tree. Some trees go completely dormant in the winter. Indoor plants or nursery plants sometimes go years before going dormant because they need something to trigger the change, but outdoor trees are triggered by the weather changes. That might be what is happening with your little guy. He was out in the extreme cold and went dormant to survive. Now to bring it back to life it needs to know it's spring again and you need to give it one or all of these things 1)plant food, I recommend getting an organic fertilizer that comes ready to use and follow the instructions on the bottle. 2) sun and/or warmth. I don't know the variety of your tree so I don't know if it needs direct or indirect sunlight because some trees dry up more in direct sunlight. But your apartment has probably stayed in the same temperature range from winter to spring and your tree doesn't know that spring or rather summer has arrived. 3) water, forget the sprayer, that tree needs the soil to get fully soaked and then drained again. That will bring life back to the soil (yes soil is alive otherwise it's just dirt) i don't recommend re-potting because that will stress the tree even more. Instead, try and gather rainwater or set the tree outside when it is raining. Lastly, please take my advice with a grain of salt... I am a novice at a farm. Your tree could already be dead, but you can test the branches to see if they are still alive. If dead the tree will just snap. If alive it will bend and have green under the bark. 🙂Hope you can revive the tree.

Come to this far, I can see how much you grow and adulting, not only physically but emotionally and internally. I had to watch your new house from empty until it looks amazing and soo ASHthetic now, you already improved in assemble the furniture and rearrange your house and schedules all by yourself. I want to say, you have done a great job Ashley, adulting is hard and sucks sometimes, but do trust the process and it will lead you to become a better version of yourself. Hi Ashley! I work with olive trees pretty often - so just speaking from my experiences :) olive trees love a Mediterranean climate, which means at least 6 hrs of sun and less water. Maybe only water when the top of soil is completely dry and move it directly next to a window. Maybe also try watering only at its roots/soil instead of getting sprayed like your other houseplants. Looks like it's already planted in a pebbly soil which is great- that helps drain the excess water. It's a lot more humid in Seoul than what an olive tree is adapted to- and you're prob right about the freeze affecting its growth :( I hope this helps!

Living for that beautiful pink record, as I'm sure Tiffany would have! Loving the camcorder as well, I almost squealed aloud realizing it wasn't just an effect and proceeded to get bursts of nostalgia throughout the vlog. My childhood thanks you, haha. Hope all stays well with your health, especially with the anemia! I randomly developed it as well from hormonal imbalances during puberty and things can get dizzy real quick when your iron is low. I think low iron can cause digestive problems too, but I'm not too sure since even just stress can mess with the body and I've been stressing easily all my life. Anyway sending luck and love! 💟

extensive health checkups always make me nervous :(( but with these things, it's better to find out sooner rather than later even if it's scary

I’m glad you had a good health checkup. Honestly it seems so much more efficient than health care in the US. I thought you looked super cute with your hair in the two little ponies on the top of your head. Also loved the dress outfit on you! This vlog is so relaxing. Glad the health check-up turned out well! If it's iron-deficiency anemia then supplements will help. I have the same problem and it might be from having heavy periods. It's nothing too uncommon I believe. And as someone who was just diagnosed with endometriosis, which can only be found through endoscopy, I'm glad everything went well with that too and they didn't find anything! Hope your stomach is better again ❤️

Also the port they put in my left arm before I went in didn’t work so they have to go do it to my right too and I hate needles 🥺 I don’t even remember going ‘asleep’ but yeah, all of a sudden you are in the next room!

Look the branches of your plant. If that's still green, likely your plant is still in progress to life. Sometimes, lose of leaves for some plants is the way how they adapt with environment. Sorry for my bad english.

Nurse Practitioner here. I take care of people under 35 though, but anemia is generally from either from being deficient in iron (from foods) or genetic (thalassemia trait). If they didn't tell you take Iron supplements, I wonder if it's #2. Having thalassemia trait doesnt effect much though! I have it as well.

Hey @ashleybchoi I'm an mediterranean agronomist, and of course I'm familiar with olive trees. Sadly, olive trees do not thrive indoors 😔. So i don't think the cold has anything to do with it. Assuming that you've got a dwarf variety, there might be a chance to save it. I recommend positioning it in a place where it can get at least 6 hours of sunlight. And be careful not to overwater it especially in the winter (if it survives until then).

for the tree- maybe trim it short and wrap it if it suffered from shock due to the cold? really enjoying the vlogs :D

The olive tree might need to be watered from below, not misted. I'd suggest putting water on the plate under it so the roots will absorb it. Or just watering the soil so it's moist but not wet. They're native to the Mediterranean so they like drier air. It might just not be able to survive in a different environment cuz I'm guessing Korea's environment is different from the Mediterranean.
