I am living a dual lifestyle between my parents' old traditional house and my home in Tokyo. It takes about 2 hours by car to reach my hometown. I open up the old house, which no one lives in anymore, and do cleaning and gardening. At first, I thought I had taken on a difficult task, but I soon realized that living in this old-fashioned countryside house was a refreshing change from the hectic daily life in the city.
Since then, I have started looking forward to coming here every week, and this lifestyle here, where I can experience the changing seasons, has become an essential part of my life.
Although nothing extraordinary happens here, I would be happy if I could share with you the small joys I find in this place.
This is a Japanese traditional house that was built about 85 to 90 years ago. Currently, the house is unoccupied, so I visit it every week to clean and take care of the garden. I have a lot of housework to do, but I enjoy it!
In my garden, the rose named "Angela" is not blooming yet. I believe that roses bloom at their own pace. I can't wait for my rosebud to bloom!
