i feel like my biggest problem about being a gen z person communicating with other generations is specifically in texting language. when i type in caps for example, i dont rlly think much about it but when my parents read my messages they will sometimes get offended and think im shouting at them when i never had that intention

I’m from Gen Z too! I don’t use Tiktok or any singaporean slangs. I’m really sorry if this offends anyone but I find other GenZs who use “Tiktok slangs” really annoying. I spend my recess reading books, in my school library. There would always be a group of girls laughing, swearing, dancing to videos on Tiktok. ( Yes, my school librarian doesn’t care at all. ) Generally, most GenZs I’ve met so far are like them when they’re with their friends - which is why I don’t get along with people around my age.
