I love that you have the model and axis display in the connection tool. it makes it really helpful. it was frustrating getting the wrong axis in Rato's tool. lol I'd love to see a connection preview too :P
hmm, a connection preview might be difficult, can't have certain shapes 'shine' through other shapes like in scrap mechanic It's a great suggestion tho and i'll put it on my todo list for V2 of this, when porting this to unity i think this feature will become possible
V2 would be awesome, but I can see a lot of headaches resolved for tracked creations! Although I can't use it now I can imagine the utility this would create. Keep it up!

i believe i have the latest version, but the block swapping tool does not support some blocks (Sand and stone for example) Is this normal or is my version outdated? Amazing work on the blueprint editor btw :D
IT JUST CRASHES AND I NEED IT SO BAD. And I can install it but it just crashes at startup. And I have .NET WIREFRAME 4.5.2 installed. When I start it, the windows 10 cursor loading icon shows up and then it just shuts down with no warning or sign why after it does. plz help I need it to build a computer. I have to do like 11 000 connections otherwise.
Hi just tried out the blue print tool, worked very well, did crash Scrap Mechanic a few times though LOL Most obj Models are just the skin, I was wondering if the obj conversion to blocks was making the result solid and hence the overall number of blocks high. Very well done thank you for your great work
gets errored (spam of error windows) when u have old mods files in game file (...\Scrap Mechanic\Data\Objects\Database\ShapeSets) still work but gets super anoying
yeah with mod support these files are really not supposed to be there, ya should remove em ;) you'll only make it easier to know which mods you used if you do
AKA the make a bigger sphere than Cookies tool? Anyway this is pretty cool and I will definitely use it to fix some invalid JSONs. I refuse to take the cheaty method to making connections though, I will always hand do my connections.
People that downloaded this tool when this video was below 370 views: Please download the newer version! The new update of the game cannot handle a bug in my block properties feature! I fixed it now, if your lift still crashes upon placement: go to your scrap mechanic blueprints, sort by name and remove the first one OR wait for tomorrow's version, i'm gonna add a "full diagnostic" feature which will repair any damage done and check for any other issues!
Tool looks amazing, unfortunately it still crashes with the new version whenever i start working in the block properties menu. Am i doing something wrong? I have updated scrap mechanic and reinstalled the new version of your tool.
Wickid Sticky twas a bug where the game crashes that i fixed, any idea what you did to make the tool crash? Does the creation have more than +-100 blocks?
Well i didnt do anything yet it seems to crash whenever i click anything in the block properties menu. I tried reinstalling, rebooting, verifying the integrity of the game files but nothing seems to help. I tried it on multiple builds most were -100 blocks. I was just going to change the controller speed on a build. Anyway thx for the quick response, i'll wait for the next version :)
why don't you put the tool on steam tool so the download and everything is easy as pie i keep getting the unusual file location popup and i don't know what to do could you either tell me exactly how to do this or make a video on how to do the entire download and stuff to use this fickin thing
O shit Brent I used it (after spending 50 minutes trying to get it to work) to edit the coneAngle and color on a headlamp, and then whenever I clicked on it from the lift my game crashed. Good thing I didn't use it on anything important first and you should definitely try to make it a little more user friendly.
Yup. I'll probably look more into fixing it when I start playing Scrap Mechanic again but I don't know if I will be able to. Never used Winrar or .Net so I installed both and messed around until it worked.
Its good but pointless until you make it being able to build full vehicle in it just for the sake of being faster alot of guys will apreciate it if theres reason behind it .The only reason i see now is being able to make connections between hundreds of logics which your not going to do every day which makes it unreasonable .....i can easily paint it inside the game .
veve ve well, building a giant spaceship i'd rather use the tool to paint it, want to swap the concrete of your house with some modded blocks? Np tool can do it. And putting hours into making ellipsoids is just not worth it. Now what with your world which has every mod slapped on it, what mods does your creation made in it use? This tool can answer that. Or what mods does a workshop creation need because the uploader forgot to mention them?
What error/difficulties do you have? Use winrar to unpack it anywhere, click the setup.exe , optionally you can copy the .obj files in the game files, will change this soon so you don't have to tho
