Just want to say that Heavies to have some counterplay to the Bulwark that makes them more dangerous than many people realize. For one thing their charge attack staggers, which when followed up with a point blank shot from a melta is quite deadly. The second thing is the Plasma Incinerator, which can be used to hit players behind a shield or slightly out of line of sight because of its splash damage. A smart heavy with this weapon will shoot at the floor or wall directly to your side or behind you to hurt you at range, and the splash damage is fairly strong if it hits close enough, especially if its a charged shot. Luckily only like 15% of heavies will be using these weapons.
Lore of the Long Watch - The Thief of Secrets is a Deathwatch relic Power Sword that is inhabited by a Machine Spirit with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. It has tasted the vitae of countless Xenos races, which has been filtered through the blade's auto-sanctified sanguinator-channels and then codified within an array of logicum cells. This has caused the Thief of Secrets to lay bare the biological secrets of many Xenos races and now allows the blade's wielder to modulate its power field in order to easily kill the Deathwatch's foes. FOR THE EMPEROR!!!
Guys when he says "wait" what he mean is when the Bulwark bend at the knees is when you want to click the attack button to spin, jump in air, and thrust downward. I don't care if you are running, walking, or standing. Either stance will work.
Nice video and insights in it, for example i didn’t know the spin combo where you plant the sword into the ground at the end. I do not agree on some bits though, in my experience (lvl 25 PVP player, ps5 from Europe, lvl 7 boulwark) the charged stance IS ALWAYS the best option, does not matter who u are fighting, if they are full health; with the heavy attacks u kill em with 3 hits, 4 with the light stance. The heavy does 1/3 more damage but is slower than the other BUT the overall time to kill is the same if not lower, exposing you to far less risks (enemy’s bullets, or giving more time to the enemy’s team to help join the melee fight etc etc..); plus if the enemy is not full health it can results in a 2 hit kill. Keep in mind that if the enemies are really close to each other, u can hold the heavy attack with the heavy stance to hit both of them, but with the light u cannot (not 100% sure about this, still needs testing to be honest). General information for the new players that i think should have been included in the video: - ALL melee damage (hammer, knife, chainsaw, heavy class’ stomp, the big punch too) bypass the armor. - in order to break the bulwark shield u NEED to heavy melee hit him, so just hold the melee button down to charge the attack and break the shield pose. Every type of heavy attack inside every type of combo for every character break his shied (not tested for the heavy class’ stomp yet, but i do not see why it shouldn’t) I would like to ask if u know if there is any reason to play anything other than the sword for this class, in my experience it is far better than the other 2 options…so no
Wow Ultra!! the wait was worth it learned some cool things from this thanks alot…also noticed from the slowed clips that melee restores armour which I didn’t know before 😮
Don’t get nervous, don’t drop the shield, close the distance. Shield bash can get in between melta shots, if he tries for a heavy melee attack, dodge and then swing forward with your powersword. An intelligent heavy, will force you out with grenades, don’t close the distance until you’re sure he has no grenades left.
The power fist has 1-shot ability if they charge from neutral, but it's relatively short range and it can be dodged, and the rest of the power fist combos aren't so great since they require charging for hard hits.
Bolt pistol way better in PvP than plasma. Cause it has higher fire rate (better dpm), fast reload (no over heat), faster bullets (for hitting moving targets). Also isn't power fist better option? it just can one shot people with charge attack.
@@igozi5728 in close range yes but not medium and long range the plasma is damage much more consistent over those ranges…power fist is not better cause it’s less versatile due to short range
@@UltraWils If the targets stay still then, yes its better long range. The projectila speed just makes it kind of liability. For me I consider Assault worst opponent I have to fight against and bolt piustol does the job killing them in air much better. The sword is better maybe, but you perform quite well with fist too. :)
Every single class can counter a bulwark with the usage of krak grenade making it not that good after all. Many just dont use kraks, i always take kraks if i see enemy using a bulwark and nullifying it completely.
Yeah it’s tough to get around, but it should be. If you hit them with a krak grenade it deletes 90% of their health and staggers them. I pretty much started winning every 1v1 encounter with bulwarks after I unlocked that grenade.
@@kader040691 I was talking about the sticky grenade. Even if bulwarks block it they still take full damage. I play vanguard and that’s the most reliable way for me to take them out. If I don’t have the sticky grenade, I can try to coordinate a team fire on them and open them up for a second with grapple. The least reliable way is to grapple them and try to dodge behind them to hip fire. That usually only works if they were already damaged. I have yet to try heavy attacks with combat knife apparently they can get past blocking.
