i’ve gotten good with his jump swings by always spamming it even if i’m not fighting anybody. practising any chance you get helps. i’d recommend using 100 sensitivity to make it way easier
TIP: When thrust surging through block just hook immediately after it connects to juggle them from thrust surge to a hook to a claw rush finish all from the back.
More of these videos please! Playstyle guide would also be interesting (for instance why everyone is saying that Yoda has such a unique playstyle and how to play that style)
You can use unrelenting advance to bait out a force push. It’s very easy to predict. Or, just going into unrelenting advance, like you said, people will use it to get behind you and do damage, so I use it to trick them into being too overly aggressive and catch them off guard when I cancel and hit them back. Also, I’ll use thrust surge while I’m attacking them super close, cause they’re not expecting it when you’re dashing in front and behind them.
Thank you so much. I've been wanting to know these tricks for grievous for a long time. Now these bold ones will realize, they are doomed. Keep up the good work 👍
Great tips, very useful. The Thrust Surge trick is a bit hard for me to do, I'm bad with multiple button pressing...but think it's worth learning, often works with a good angle. The range card does work well too, especially against blaster heroes....also because they often don't expect you to get them from so far.
Agreed, I have found the longer thrust surge leap to catch players further away, and also those jumping up in the air. And the blasters. It’s quite handy.
Imo Jedi Killer is a really nice perk as well. In hvv lets you immediately cover distance and get up and personal with blasters before they even know youre there. Ive saved many teammates using that to attack from behind, and also lets you do the hooked thrust surge with less risk of being exposed
@@Reysious oh yeah i just mean for hvv you can easily cover the distance of a full cowardly retreat and hit people alr in air. Theres nothing more satisfying than just barely rolling into range to do a lunge on someone far away and comboing out half their health
Tbh I use unrelenting advance for when ppl think you are out of stamina and got to rush you then get hit by the advance, they dash back usually when they are hit by it and not forward, giving you the time to recover
Good video man. I was wondering if when you make these videos you could also offer some in depth fighting strategies for them. As I find those kinds of tip to be very useful
Its slightly easier on pc to get off jump swings that it is on console, even for someone like me that plays grievous non stop. Also, how in hell do you reliably do the jump swing chains???
So when you do jump swings, hold block while jumping and then swing when at the beginning of the jump animation... so hold LT/L2, and then do a very slight jump and swing... and basically repeat that just really fast in order to get the jump swing chain
I know, I'm a bit late lol, but what tips could you give me now? Like in Grievous' current state in this game? I'm level 400smth and I dk what the best possible cards for Grievous area, if you could help that would be very appreciated :)
Tu peux faire pareil avec le compte dooku tu saute et tu active ton duelliste faut avoir un bon timing, c est à dire sauter dans les air et donner un coup de sabre laser en activant le duelliste, c est utile quand ta plus de bleu
Nice guide! You can talk a bit slower tho. Or after you end a sentence with a tip, you can wait a bit and show an example for the viewers to process the information and understand the tip better. Watching your video might be really understandable for you because you made it, but for someone who is watching it for the first time, it's too much information in little time
Hi Reysious, I don't know if this is an exploit or not but if you swing and activate Unrelenting Advance during the swing animation, then you can't be ragdolled for around 4-5 seconds. I use it in duels and it provides great synergy against Anakin and Luke.
Does the line up weaklings star card do the bonus 50 damage the first time you hit the opponent?? Edit: Also who tf would dislike this guide? it’s so helpful.
yes it does, and idk I always get at least 2 dislikes on every video lol, I mean maybe some people just didn't like the video, or they just hate me, and have nothing better to spend their time on than clicking on all my vids to give me dislikes, but it does not really effect me in a negative way anyways xD
@@Reysious ok thanks as I got confused by the star card description. It said after the first enemy has been hit, thanks for the confirmation. Edit: I also ran into CallToTheLight in hero showdown I actually managed to beat him once against his maul with my anakin in the Naboo hanger on the 19th March, I’m pretty proud of that :)
I’ve been a grievous main for awhile and know about pretty much everything I’m going into this video rn hoping I’ve known everything about him let’s find out
@@Reysious thanks so much for your reply! My sensitivity is aprox 80 and since I posted I actually have managed to do it a few times! However, it doesn't seem to bypass blocks as you have shown.. it is possible that the people I have dueled have wised up and either turned whole blocking, or I just didn't turn sharp enough.. Will try some more - thanks again for these tips!
@@charleskonz3273 I mean it's not 100% reliable and yes if your opponents turn to the direction your thrust surge is coming from, they can just block and parry it as usual
I prefer line up weaklings over cowardly retreat, because the card itself is bugged. It claims you need to hit 1 person before the 50 extra damage buff is given but this is false, you straight up do 60 damage with claw rush with the card leading to insane follow up kills Also I'm against flesh is weak and massive strikes, Grievous has precious little stamina as is for blocking so it's better to not push it. 30 damage is insane but it's just not worth it. Also Flesh is Weak sucks, 5% reduction for every 10% health missing but slower health regen? This means that when he's at 10% health, he has 45% damage protection and no chance of regenerating on time to survive. This card is especially bad when combined with Beating Heart, since they directly counteract eachother
I can find unrelenting advance really useful but isn’t this thing supposed to block frontal damage. Getting spammed every single time and all the damage soaks through
