Thanks for another excellent video. After having watched your two videos on Master Pages, I have been able to do things with my forms that I did not know how to do before. For that matter, I didn't know some of these things were possible until I watched the videos. I now have much more control over how my forms look and work. ps. I got the page numbering figured out too. Thanks for the tip!
Brilliant videos, so helpful. A question re master pages, is it possible to hide a master page until it is needed? I created a flowing form from you video and made a 2nd master page to receive the overflow and it is always visible. Is it possible to hide it until overflow occurs?
Hi Nathan, Excellent videos! Really learned a lot in a short amount of time. Got a question regarding the page numbering used in the video. I have a similar form. Page 1 is a data entry screen with one master page, and subsequent pages, which is an agreement with flowed text, uses a different master page where I placed the Page Number object at the bottom. Problem is that the first page of the agreement says page 2 of 5, because it's including the data entry page, when it should say page 1 of 5. Ideally, I'd like the page numbering to start on page 2 of the agreement and start with page 2 of 5, but I can live with page numbering starting on page 1 of the agreement. Hope that makes sense. Much appreciated!
I have come across another challenge. I am testing out my form to see if users can enter text, save the document and return to edit. The text entered into text fields from the Master Pages are not saving. However any text that is entered in the content design area remains.
Your videos have been extremely helpful. I am learning this for the first time through self-study. I do have a question on the java scripting. I have created a multi-page doc with two Master Page templates. I have a text field titled Associate at the top of Master Page 1. I would like for the text typed here to carry over to the text field Associate at the top of Master Page 2 (without having to click in the box before it appears). Can you help?
Also, i was following your tutorial and i dont know what happened but i lost my purple navigation bar when i do a preview of what my form can do, how can i get it back hehe?
Love your tutorials. I've become the subject matter expert of LiveCycle for a large medical device manufacturer with a lot of help from your tutorials. Thank you! Will you be branching out further with tutorials that take LiveCycle to the webform level? Thanks again.
+ballsolove Webforms are not on the horizon for me because I dont have access to LC Server. However, the principles of dynamic pdf should port to web versions. Thx.
