Two of my favourite maps! Starlight Station is just amazing. I didn't like Rightside-Down Caverns at first, but started to love it on my second playthrough, trying to get all the berries. It feels like its the sane cousin of Vertigo. :D
I know I am extremely late but I think I know why the n64 rainbow road song had a comment section filled with people talking about their past loved ones. It isn't a bit, it is something called the internet checkpoint. From what I know it started on an old DK Country extended track put on youtube (It has since been taken down and replaced by someone trying to bring it back) In that comment section people were calling it an internet checkpoint. They told their life story and the hardship they went through and treated it as a "Checkpoint" to "Save their game". Basically it was a way for people to openly talk about their struggles in life like a sort of open journal. I didn't know this but apparently this has been spread to a few other classic songs on youtube, apparently including n64 Rainbow Road. There is a really good video from 2020 called "What Was The Internet Checkpoint?" that talked about it, and I assume after that video came out a lot more people found out about it, including nintendo taking down the original video, and people continuing the trend on other songs. I guess it's sort of like the "MeToo" movement, but without a large, talked about banner being tied to it so people found it more personal.
