In this latest CRI cancer immunotherapy webinar for patients and caregivers, Dr. Joshua Brody -- a CRI-funded scientist at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City -- and a breast cancer patient, Stephanie Gangi, will discuss the value clinical trials can offer patients and how the patient voice has become increasingly important when planning clinical studies. Stephanie has been navigating breast cancer for more than twenty years, and it is a new vaccine approach based on Dr. Brody's CRI-funded work that is keeping her healthy and hopeful for herself and other cancer patients now benefiting from advances in cancer immunotherapy.
Funding for our webinar series has been generously provided by Bristol Myers Squibb, with additional funding provided by Alkermes, BioCanRx, and Lilly Oncology.
Established in 1953, the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to harnessing our immune system’s power to control and potentially cure all cancers. What a great explanation. You made it so easy to understand to a layman like myself who is receiving Nivolumab to ensure I don't get oesophageal cancer once more or to ensure it doesn't metastisise. Cheers.

@@CancerResearchInstitute Could you please explain why you get the side effects and what actually happens. For example, the diarhoea is because the bowel is inflamed. It's the fatigue and shortness of breath at times that is wearing me down at the moment, making it hard to return to work. I know you are constantly fine tuning things looking to improve treatment. Cheers.
