So...this how you guys in us do it...No wonder you end up confused and take ages to get water on.. split on shoulder...pull to hear...walk back ..grab coupling...work out distance...not to mention the damage you do to hoses dragging over hard ground. geeees. Why not roll hoses then bowl them out direct towards fire...pump man then connects to pump and the fire fighter then has the branch (nozzle ) his end and calls water on...I have had water on using two 75 ft hoses 150ft. With two fire fighters and the pump man in around 30 seconds...That's from jumping out of the cab...
+allan x We use a triple fold like this but we do not deploy it this way. Where you deploy 150 ft with two guys and a pump man in 30 seconds we deploy 200ft in 13 seconds with one guy. We deploy ours to the fire, we don't clear the bed, then grab couplings and what not. We grab nozzle that has loop attached and walk toward fire no matter what direction its in.
It seems like every department or at least region in the U.S. has a different way or a modified way from what has been established. Different strokes for different folks 👨🚒
