This is so true. When I spend time with God in mental prayer, He changes me. I become better, I become more like Him. I think it's like when you meet a new friend and you start to hang out a lot; the more time you spend together you start to act like that person. Who better than God!!!!!!!!!!

I think that we come here to do the best we can with our children, our parents, our friends, our neighbors! The Lord create it this world for our blessings and our work here if is well done and in everything we are present with him he is waiting for us in heaven! Amen❤

I literally just watched a talk on mental prayer before this. That was the 3rd video I’ve watched of @gabiafterhours talking on mental prayer. And now today’s video is on the same thing. Seems like we are all called to mental prayer, I definitely think God is speaking to me. Thank you for the beautiful explanations.

One time I was struggling and it affected my prayer life. As I sat in Adoration one day, I told Jesus I had no words to offer to Him and I couldn't pray. He said I don't need words just look at Me and Love. To make a long story short I look for His love everywhere. When I go outside and see the colors of the sunset God is telling me how much He loves me and I say to Him I see your love for me in the beautiful colors of the sky and I love you too. Since God made all things for us I find Him everywhere and just love Him back like St. Therese and in her little way. That also includes our neighbors which can be hard to do but I must look at them that they are God's creation that was made with His love and so we must love in order to grow spiritually with and through Him. Thank you for this video.

I find I get distracted so easily. I hope one day to practice mental prayer more fully.

Confession is THE key to Heaven. When a soul denies sin that soul is in grave danger.

My testimony is one of faith. No matter what we are facing God will give us strength. As a single mother I’m overwhelmed at times raising two children with autism. I started homeschooling them last year so my hours to work are limited. I keep faith in Jesus even as I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. Lord please take away my fears because I’m constantly in fear of homelessness. But I STILL TRUST IN YOU. Please guide me and protect me through this hard period of my life I am facing. Faith over fear! ❤❤

I totally agree with your observation & opinion about depression in America! We have sadly turned away from God, and now worship so MANY false Gods. I cannot believe what has taken place in America in my 70 yrs. , the deterioration & collapse in values of this amazing country! Sadly, I don't see it turning back around ever! As the Bible states, "The first shall be last, and the last shall be first.". In God we trust, in God I trust! Thank you both for your time and videos.

I do mental prayer by closing my eyes and picturing the biblical scene at the well. I sit with Jesus and hug him and talk to him and think about what he would say back to me.

Mental Prayer - when I'm all in, it's amazing. What stood out to me is: in the light we can see our defects so we can repent. Amen!

Wow very powerful ! I had never thought about the unity between going to confession and having a prayer life! That really touched my heart! God has been so very good to me my entire life. His blessings are numerous Even though I've had a horrible last few years with my family tragedies, God is with me. Unfortunately, my family has been reduced to just my mother & I. My dad has passed this year, both my brother & sister have passed & my mom's Alzheimer's has spiraled downward & she barely knows who I am anymore. When I wanted to give up, God always strengthened me & helps me go on everyday. Blessed be to God & praise to Jesus Christ, my Lord & Savior! Amen

Dear Saint in the making soul Brother Ken; I go to adoration on my laptop every morning, and I try so hard to empty on thoughts and listen to what JESUS has to has to say, but I am not able to keep from having other things go through my mind. Do you have any suggestions on how I can just keep my mind from thinking, and be quiet?

I seem to have difficulty in finding quiet time to pray. Since I have little kids, it may just be I have to sacrifice sleep time to pray. How do you manage with your family?
