Shannon, running shoes in the water, bare feet in the tent, your brave, I like your relaxing calm cometary,💪🏾🌷thank you🌞🍎

Haha, Shannon wears her water shoes...her crocks in the water so water flows right out as she walks through...and because you never know when you might have to walk to vessel, water shoes are highly recommended for paddling! So glad you enjoyed all of that Claudi including the commentary...thanks for your kind words.

Thank you for such an adventurous part: got everything!... and you made it feel so easy, your calmness was commendable while I was, on my part, sitting at the very edge of my seat. The views were amazing again, it is always a pleasure to watch them. Looking forward to "join" you every week. Greatly appreciated. Luis

Wow Wow, I love waking up on Tuesday morning and hiking, but this hike was Extra awesome , the long ride down the river, Beautiful, interesting no beavers with all those fallen trees, I had turtles from Zellers , back in the day, little green ones❤️…Chin Wag lol, that’s a new one, Wendy, I will check it out The caves and Bat❤️story, you both are sooo brave, I worry about bears, but didn’t seem to be any animals around this time, last thing Shannon, great tip roasting the apples first, I will try that, but last thing lol The bathroom tank and washing dishes after dinner, the reality part of camping, you make it look soooo easy🌞 Thank you for this weeks adventure, your videos by the way music included is Professional Good💪🏾 Keep Growing🏆🏆🍀

Claudi, I'm delighted you enjoyed this video...it was one of my favourites to edit too! The fallen trees in the Bonnechere River were largely from the water erosion leading to them to fall into the water when the riverbank could no longer support them. There might have been beavers living along the way. We didn't see them or their lodges. I loved being back in a cave...the ones I explored while a university student didn't have level floors or lighting though...so that was a more "cushy" experience at the Bonnechere Caves! Glad you enjoyed the adventures and the reality behind what makes camping successful...have to keep up with the chores! Thanks for watching!

Thank you Richard. Glad you enjoyed that. We just returned home and yesterday, I visited my 97-year old Dad and reviewed the video (Why Solo Hike Through Wetlands...) in which he did the wrap up. So many kind comments were written about him so I proceeded to read all of them, including yours after we watched his "performance", haha. He was delighted to hear so much great feedback that folks enjoyed seeing and of course, hearing him in a video. Thank you for including yours. You always have thoughtful things to say.

Thanks for sharing your info re wildlife , very helpful info re moving turtles, biting a stick isn't something i would have thought of and good to know not to lift by her tail. Great trip to the park, enjoyed the tour, especially the cave. Have a great week.

Thanks Jean. It was such a cool experience - all of it and especially the Bonnechere Caves. And to have seen that young Snapping Turtle on-site there, gave me that great opportunity to show their greatest vulnerability...their very small plastron. I'm glad that information was helpful for you. We're back home now but next week's video will highlight in two parts, our time at the next Park...Charleston Lake. Thanks for watching!

Hi! I've been wondering about the bug shirt. Does it prevent bites or reduce them? Also, loved gliding along with you and Shannon on the river. The nature and water sounds are so good for my soul! Thank you.
@HikingWithKathleen
@HikingWithKathleen 2 месяца назад
Susan, so glad you enjoyed our paddle on the Bonnechere...we loved it there! The bugs shirts will stop bites fully...so once I know I'm in a buggy area and zip up the hood, you have to just make sure no mosquitoes or blackflies have been trapped inside it. They do keep you warm so it can be hard to wear during the hottest weather but I prefer heat to bug bites. Bonnechere is full of so much beauty in and around that area, but the River itself, was our favourite. Glad you enjoyed the soothing sounds of nature and water.

@@HikingWithKathleen Excellent! Thanks for the info. I've been wondering about investing in a couple for myself and a family member who is SO allergic to mosquitos! Good tip about checking the inside of the shirt! Ugh...what a nightmare that would be!🤣
