For some reason, I had my mind set on Helena Aurora Range, but I couldn't find much information about it....so I decided to go in and have a long since I am traveling through the Eastern Goldfield region of Western Australia.
It was about 230 Km from Eaglestone Rock, traveling through a couple of active mines.
Did a couple of hikes based on downloaded gpx files, however, getting to the starting point with a vehicle turnout to be quite confusing as there are many tracks, but no map.
Made a mistake on the first hike, forgetting to mark on the map app where Sandi was parked, in a vast featureless bush.....however, my memory wasn't too far off and found it within twenty minutes.
The second hike was fun going through countless caves along the cliff side....big, small, deep, shallow, interconnected ones, arches....then it becomes yet-another-cave, ok-cave, please-give-me-a-break caves.....
A few trees needed a little bit of trimming for Sandi to pass.
