Adventure on Flathead Lake

Thank you!! Yeah it’s always interesting finding public access. Luckily flathead has 4 state parks and all have boat ramps so those are options for a fee. There’s supposed to be free parking in Dayton but I was unable to verify.

My pleasure to share the beauty we were blessed with on our adventure. The springs definitely were relaxing and helped loosen some stiff joints.

Thank you so much and oh man trust me I wanted to do a trip sooner than this . I’ve been crazy busy lately running my business and keeping a marina afloat ( literally lol) plus farming and just life. Im trying to find a balance to where I can film more but that means I have to work less and hopefully in the future this is feasible. Filming and editing takes so much time but it’s so worth it because of the experience and the awesome community of people like you!!! Having positive comments like yours makes my day! I hope to get to a episode every week as soon as i figure out how to supplement my income but until then thank you for watching!!!!!!🙂

Yeah it’s a long drive but so beautiful so it didn’t seem bad. Our trip was 6 days and we were definitely tired by the end but so worth it!

@@ruddyducksailing the hot springs and nice restaurant was a nice wrap up for the drive home i bet .... such an amazing landscape and wildlife.

Oh man it might be a good time to pick up a little trailer sailer!! They are so simple, inexpensive and fun and we have really enjoyed the time on ours. We never made it to blue water but definitely downsized from what we started on. Anyways I agree and think it would be awesome to live near Flathead lake as it’s not overcrowded yet and has so much potential for outdoor activities! Thanks for watching!!

I was surprised! A reef in the main and 90% jib and still over hull speed. Flying

@@ruddyducksailing yeah a reef....see, when I first subscribed, I really thought the duck was a fractional with a back-stay. they don't put in reefs, they just tension the back-stay to de-power ... I was just trying to warn people with aluminum masted fractionals, ( with back stays ) because it always happens on tired Dacron.

Awesome! Thank you! You definitely have some beautiful lakes to explore over there. We spotted a few on the way over that we might want to go back to check out! And yeah I believe Flathead could get really rough fast. Small boat’s definitely need to be careful

Awesome! We have had so much fun exploring in our little sailboat and hope you will as well. We have started by exploring the lakes closest to us and are slowly branching out. I don’t know of any books or forums but I’m sure there are some good ones out there. Thanks for watching and fair winds!!!
