This episode made me realize how most of the ones who grew up with adventure time are now close to adulthood and that made me tear up a little. As a kid I never thought I’d see PB and Marcy together but here we are now

The show grew up with us the whole way through. That's the beauty of this show i think, it grew, it matured, it evolved. I started watching when it first came out, 2010, I was 9, and it was perfect 9 year old humor. 2017, I was 16 and it was perfect 16 year old humor. Over the entire 8(technically 10 with distant lands) years I've watched this show and grew up with this show I never once felt it was out of touch with me and my maturity, it evolved right along side me. Which as someone with developmental disorders who was constantly a step below my peers, was something I really really needed. I can only hope someone takes up the mantle to create something similar for the future generation.

It's weird. Adventure time's a lot like a real human being. Because with each season, it's growing up, getting older, and more mature. And Distant Lands is basically Adventure time all grown up.

I think bubbline is one of the best LGBT rep in cartoon. I feel SU creators are afraid to show ruby and sapphire and they are often hide behind garnet.

@@thefirstone4864 I honestly feel like they're too corny, bubbline takes a more realistic approach as I see it, ruby/sapphy feels so mushy it's TOO digestible, they argue sometimes(?) but it's only when the plot calls for it.

@@thefirstone4864 Actually it was the network that didn’t want Ruby and Sapphire together. Rebecca had to push a lot of their content out, but even so their relationship didn’t feel as fleshed out. It was probably because they were Garnet for most of the time and their relationship moments felt more off screen. Bubbline had plenty of time to develop and grow, but even then they were never really confirmed until the end. Yes it was said that they dated but didn’t actually have a romantic relationship except the very end of Adventure time and Obsidian. We only had moments that just teased their relationship, but I’m so glad that the two of them can finally prosper as a proper loving one now :D

I mean, Rebbeca Sugar literally had to end the shoe early because of the backlash from international funding, once the wedding episode went into production. Its because of Sugars,,, i guess sacrifice? in showing Rupphire that this special can even exist lol

Marceline is my favorite written character. She is complicated but has the most satisfying character growth out of anyone in the show because she doesn't change who she is at her core, she stops pushing people away and being scared of who she really is. The show did have a lot of pacing problems but Marcy and Simon were the only characters that really stayed consistent for me

tryin to get over a breakup where our hearts didn't fight or had a bad argument, we just decided to part ways because of job and carreer circumstances would eventually tear us appart so we decided to do it before it broke our hearts in a harsher way, I lost the count on the times I've cried to this song since it was revealed, cause she's the pink on my cheeks, and makes me feel a little bit soft.

It makes me happy that by growing up with this show I managed to value the development of this characters as real people. Seeing that in Obsidian PB and Marcy evolved as people and left their pride aside as a result of true love and being resolute makes you see that they might not be kids as I was back then, but they had to learn some lessons similar to me in life. Cheers to the ones entering adulthood, like me, we all have the memories of this show in common.

Considering it released when I was 11 and now I’m turning 24, a lot of people grew up alongside this show and we have a genuine attachment to it. It’s got a lot of well written life lessons that taught us well and it will always be remembered.

I first saw adventure time when I was 10-12 years old, I’m 17 now and honestly this show changed my life and the way I view the world, I love music and because of this show I was able to keep committed to learn some of the songs, and it really sparked my love of adventure and the outdoors in a way nothing else has, I’m gonna miss sitting down and watching such a masterpiece of a show, but that’s life, the path doesn’t end, you may find a spot you never want to leave, but I order to reach the peak of the mountain you need to keep moving forward, and even when you can no longer see the places you stopped to rest, you will always have the memories and the people you met walking there own paths that happened to cross your Have a great day, and never forget the things that changed you, because eventually, you’ll need to take a look behind and see how far you’ve come

Yes; keep moving forward!.. But don't be afraid to look back and revisit bits of your past every few years. You might just see a rather obvious blinking red light you didn't fully understand the meaning of the first time, but now you can access the erstwhile hidden messages and learn a little bit more! This song makes me sad and crying, along with the song with her mother about nightmares. Looking back, I just want to grow up fast in the past. But now, I realized that I never truly enjoyed my moments with different people and take it for granted. Now that I am alone, I wish I had that time again to be with them again.

I'm so glad in the end they really became such a beautiful relationship with flaws and and grew stronger with it together. I love this song and grew up with the show, it also helped me realize that I've actually only liked females and that's ok. Marceline and Bubblegum's relationship made me think right away there was a bond and some past connections they had before. Especially with the episode where we find out Bubblegum has been wearing a shirt she got at Marceline's concert and wore it to sleep but gave it up so Marcy could have Hambo back. Since then I've been praying that they got together and here they are. ( Sorry I'm a bit late to respond, I've been rewatching the series and saw obsidian so I had to watch it. So I came to the song and I have zero regrets )

me and my mom loved this show, such a shame that they quit making new episodes.. i was about 5 when i first saw it.. my mom is in her 60's and she got upset when i told her why it had ended.. it still brings tears in my eyes whenever i listen to the soudtrack.. thank you for making my childhood..

oh my,,,gosh I didn't even realize I was scrolling through youtube then stumbled upon the complete history of marceline and princess bubblegum video by HBO MAX and I was like hmm "ima watch it cuz im boreddd" a few minutes after the video ended I WAS BAWLING MY EYES OUT OVER THIS SONG so I decided to check it out to listen to it on loop(although I've been doing that since last year) what I DIDN'T realized was it's been a year! the date shows that this video was uploaded on November 20 which means today! the timing and coincidence though lolll but I'm so glad I did. Happy 1 year Adventure Time: Distant Lands - Obsidian !!!

Crazy how this show literally grew up with me and developed along me, they started it when I was 8 they ended it when I was 17. Now I’m getting ready to get deployed, jus wanted to feel like a kid again before I go lol
