This theory could actually make a lot of sense if you consider all of the connections to Irish mythology that Finn has. I believe Finn might be a direct reference to the god Lugh from Irish mythology. The similarities and parallels are quite striking. Let's take a look: The god Lugh was seen as a warrior, hero, king, and savior. He was known by the title of Lugh of the Long Arm, most likely for his skill with the sword or spear, which is possibly referenced by the things that happen to Finn's arm and how at one point it becomes a long, vine-like whip. Finn and Lugh also both had a magical sword. Lugh was a sky god and was said to represent the sun, and had shining golden hair, just like Finn does. Being a sky god, Lugh was also often associated with, wait for it.... comets, with the appearances of comets being seen as a sign of his arrival and presence. Lugh also has a faithful dog companion in the form of the hound Failinis, which is likely represented by Jake. Finally, here's the best part. Lugh's foster father that raised him was the sea god Manannan, which is most likely represented by Martin Mertens (even their names sound alike.) Remember when Martin told Finn story of when he was a baby and they were on that boat in the middle of the sea? That's probably a direct reference to Manannan being a sea god. With this in mind, Martin, like Manannan, is likely not Finn's real father, and just found him one day as a baby at sea, and took care of him when he was younger. Finn might not even have parents to begin with, either that or his mom might be some sort of sea goddess. Going by Lugh's life events, what could this say about Finn's fate? In his later years, apparently, Lugh was killed by the sons of some guy he had killed, who took revenge on him by drowning him in a lake. I'm pretty sure that if you were to look deeper into the mythology surrounding Lugh and his life, you might find even more similarities and parallels between him and Finn. This theory completely changed my perspective of Finn. AT is amazing. I love that other adults can appreciate the genius of it and other cartoons without dismissing them as just for kids. Others for me are Over the Garden Wall, Stephen Universe, Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty, etc. They are so well scripted and have such existentialism at their core... great thoughts on this

I remember hearing somewhere that Finn, Just like The Lich is this Powerful Cosmic Entity, and they keep coming back to fight for eternity, in Many lives Finn is Victorious, but In many other Lives, so is The Lich.

Once a comet, can remember and talk to a comet. A butterfly, can control butterflies in that one episode. Shoko, becomes the treehouse and Finn lives in it. Finally, Finn, can remember his past lives somehow Edit: I meant the episode where gunther remember himself and Finn starts talking about that him and the comet had a relationship

Finn is the Commet and also the lich. The Commet started a nuclear war, it was mistaken as an attack. So the Commet brought death uncaring. The collision fracture and killed the Commet, reborn as a death bringer by the lich and a life saver/bringer through Finn.

If we know one thing its that nothing is as it seems in Adventure time. Finn is something far greater. Something we never discovered even at the end of the series. Cartoon was left with so many mysteries

Realizing what he said at the end makes sense. For a big portion of my life I was homeless with my family. At times we lived out of hotels, at other times we went camping in the woods with trailers or rvs of some sorts. I hadnt really realized til recently just how much time we had spent living in the woods but it probably amounted to a few years worth of time all broken up. It may have been traumatizing for me but I remember enjoying my time out in the woods a lot BUT its made camping a bit of a... Idk how to explain it? Its like I tense up internally but then I remember, oh its just a little trip. No harm no foul. I dont regret it and Im super glad dhs never got involved and took us away. I love my parents and the two of them have been together my whole life. We went through thick and thin together and they are still together and going strong. It was a hard life but a good one none the less.

nah finn is just the reincarnation of the comet. the comet just has his own meaning like every being in AT, like the cosmic owl, the elementals, death, prismo and such. All just beings doing their thing. AT stands for showing different life forms and showing that everyone is the same and no one is more important. Everyone lives their lives. So saying that one is god, or something much more great than something else, is false. Everything is on the same ladder spross of existence. He has so much power as any other being in Ooo. Finn as the blue comet is still reincarnated, because the blue comet is for good change. He still hast to change the earth. Also Finn refuses the purple comet's offer, because he loves the birth of life, like we as the watchers. We love the different creatures and the way the live in AT. He doesn't want the end or the beginning, as the purple comet offers him. He loves the circle of life. This doesn't make him a god. He is merely the blue comet of good change.

i find your videos very interesting. I am guessing it must have been mentioned by at least someone (as i refuse to believe that i am the first to notice it) but do you not think that there is something very strange about Finn's relationship with his right arm throughout his life and past incarnation and his alternate universe incarnation? Its almost like he was never meant to have a right arm and goes against his fundamental nature and that is some elemental aspect of his being. I also wonder at the significance of the grass sword that, like his arm has left him before but eventually regains- is it merely the effects of the curse from the blade? Or is there something more crucial and more subtle at play? Or perhaps it has become something that opposes his nature so he will be doomed to lose his arm only to regain it? Or like you have suggested, is this also a manifestation of his nature symbolizing rebirth and perpetual change? Just something that had me thinking and i hope you find interesting. I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter

Finn is one of the four scholars of Golb. Lich being one of them. The four comets. Such good we seen throughout the series only implies his innate desire to help others. Maybe it's genetics, from his mother Minerva or maybe it's one of the four major changes of each comet. Eps such as Hall of Egress has many alogorical meanings one being the change of perspective. Finn is a hero no doubt but in the finale I believe that his one encounter with GOLB in Puhoy may not be the last.

This is my little theory: So the comets land on earth giving something new to humanity and then reincarnate into something In the video you can see that there is a green comet it has green curly horns, and who has curly horns THE LICH. So we know the Lich is the green comet and also, in the series we can see that the Lich has green fire power *hehe* and his comet is green fire.
