We laughed a lot watching this one. Jason not paying attention like "it'll be my turn soon" had me near crying laughter for some reason. And all the tired plays. Amazing job. Keep them coming.
You guys are so so cute. Love Bris excitement even when sleep deprived. BG the best game. Keep these up. Would like to see the overall PRsx at the end as atext overlay though;) to see if you can improve over time. All the best. -- salsaguy
Thanks salsaguy! And we used precision dice too 😉 It's such a phenomenal game! I want to say I played a 10 PR here and Bri was around 16? I play around a 13 PR on average. I need to dedicate a bit more to study as I've been stuck at 13 for a bit. I'd love to be in the 10 average by the end of this year. Cheers! 😀
Always learning, haha! I'll play great one day and then absolutely terrible the next. I try to always prioritize fun over winning. Of course, winning is always a nice bonus. Cheers!
Hahah! That should be a shirt. But that's about it.... somehow I always convince myself I need to take when I'm behind a 5 prime when at the club... it's always a disaster.... Cheers!
Hey Jason and Bri! Big fans here! My wife and I have a very similar experience/story with backgammon as you two! We live in Minneapolis, and if you’d ever be interested in a meetup let us know!
Really nice well made videos! It would be interesting to have a video that goes back and reviews the blunders. Most backgammon videos on RU-vid are from people playing at the top end, so you've got a chance to offer something for people who are just getting in to the game. Also, if you can't work out why a particular move was a blunder, us boring people in the comments will be more than happy to share our thoughts :-) Keep up the great work!
Hello! Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Hah! "Us boring people" That cracked me up. That's an interesting idea though and I'm sure I would need help from time to time. I'll look into this and see what I can come up with. I appreciate the input!
Fun video. I know you didn’t show us a top down view, I’m sort of assuming that you did have something like that so you could get the game record later, or should I be impressed that you made the record from memory.
Thanks Todd! No top down for this one as we're trying to really focus on travel for this particular series and the extra gear makes it a challenge when going to place like coffee shops and the like. I could see the board enough on my large screen to transcribe it and if I wasn't sure, going ahead a few turns always cleared it up. Cheers! 😁
I got it custom made by Rain! Really nice and easy process. You can find the info in the description of the linked video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vlc8NU3OZ_w.html
I still don't understand why you couldn't move on the 4 and 2 rolls. you couldn't move 2 and then 4 because the point 2 ahead was blocked but you could have moved 4 and then 2... as per your question I like watching games being played. yeah ok maybe the video was a bit long but sometimes that's the way games go.
Hello! You are 100% correct! Bri said I was blocked and in the moment I just assumed she was right and that I saw it wrong. In hindsight, I could absolutely get by with the 4 2. She was so confident when she said it I didn't even question it. Something to laugh about now, haha 😂 Thankfully it didn't have major implications on the match. 😅 I appreciate the feedback! Passing on the first few cubes definitely slowed the match down. Ideally we get better with the cube and that will make the matches quicker! Cheers and thanks for watching! 😀
I liked the format but ideally, it would be a two-camera shoot one overhead & one profile so the board & colors would be the same. I feel like playing with a clock for beginners moves the play along.
Hey Jeff! I appreciate the feedback! I agree with the top down shot normally, but our hope with this series in particular is to play on the move, coffee shops, bars, while traveling, etc. Meaning we’re traveling pretty light as far as gear goes. I want to bring my other playthrough series back though where things are much more produced with the addition of clocks, several angles, etc. We’re hoping to get a chouette show in the pipeline as well! Cheers! 😃
I understand the need & desire to travel light! Chouettes would be good because they are such a great way to hear other players' strategies!@@blunderblots
@@JeffErdmann Chouettes are phenomenal for that reason! So educational! Also a big reason why I'd like to make videos documenting them so others can learn as well. Fun stuff for sure! 😃
