In this part you'll see how we tackled the issue of levelling up the floor to prepare for fresh concrete. The building had a slope of about 15% from the front door towards the back wall which needed to be levelled. As we only had access to minimal tooling you'll see our methodology for dealing with large amounts of concrete with only basic tools.
There are a few things I would have done differently for the future - mainly relating to timing and tooling. Our concrete delivery arrived with 2 hours of sunlight left in the day which didn't leave us much time to work with the material comfortably. It would have been much better to have the entire day to let the concrete cure partially and to be able to float the surface after levelling. Ultimately we decided that we'll grind and polish the surface of the concrete at a later stage of the build.
