I’ve lived here (Hokkaido) just over 20 years and never gotten around to using a love hotel. I’ll have to tell the wife I wanna try one, it looked more interesting than a regular one….except I’d miss having a window.

in order to ensure strict privacy, the person at the front desk downstairs ensures that guests don't see any other guests in the hallways. They'll keep you locked in your rooms and let you out when they can ensure that all other guests are out of your way.

Funny how all the Americans in this comment section are upset that at the hotel you have to call in order to get out of the room. People in other countries understand, if you dont like it, dont go. This practice is very common in Love Hotels.

Why not take your lady to a discreet normal hotel, I don't like the idea of being locked in the room and was that a real voice on the pay point or a recording. Either way she sounded very aggressive.
