Girlllllll this video is a game charger and so omg practical and INFORMATIVE!!! I honestly THANK GOD FOR YOU!!! I the exact same surgeries and I trusted a private recovery home that I used for my tummy tuck. I’m shocked at the lack of care and that I’m literally in the hotel alone and my surgery was this afternoon. I’m staying wide awake and walking every hour pretty much. Thank you for the SOLUTIONS to solve many questions I had.
I see your video is about 3 years old but your information is timeless. I am going for an arm lift, thigh lift, and lipo to my stomach in about 6 weeks. So I am doing my research now. Your information is priceless. I hope you take no offense but you are dry and you are quite blunt but it comes with humor, and that is sort of my personality. The fact that you haven't sworn is amazing because I would have inserted F-Bombs all over the place! I am also single and I have no one to assist so I think I will hire someone for the first week. I had surgeries years ago and I always struggled with them. I vomit after anesthetic and I am allergic to most of the great pain medications that are available. At this moment I am rethinking my surgery, but as you said, you have come so far, to stop now would be a shame.
Thank you so much for this. I”ve just undergone this surgery and I did ask the questions and did the research but still was not mentally prepared at all. I’m week 3 PO ATM and it is definitely the worse of the 3 skin removals I’ve had. There’s been tears and melancholy and just feeling absolutely miserable. Your vlog helped me because I didn’t feel like I was alone anymore and there was someone else out there that understood exactly what I was feeling and going through.
Thank you for sharing. I’m 4 weeks out and having a hard time. A lot of clear drainage down one leg still and incisions still look like wounds. Doc says they look good but dear god…it’s been so brutal and I’ve had several necessary surgeries including a total hip replacement, shoulder surgery, etc. I’ve had FDL abdonalplasty at the same time. Seriously, hardly any pain from that and healing doing really well. These thighs make me cry. Seriously.
Thank you for sharing. I had BBL before. 11 days after BBL were a nightmare. My tights always bothered me, and next Saturday I am going to see doctor who will do my thighs. I am ready for pain, after BBL nothing will scare me.😊
Today I am 2 weeks post thigh lift and Vaser liposuction. I hear what you say about the smells, swelling etc and the incision in the ‘lady bit’ area. Unfortunately my incision has reopened in that place, on both sides, right side being far worse than left. I had my surgery done in Turkey, it’s the 2nd time I have been to the same surgeon for a procedure and 1st time for a tummy tuck which healed absolutely with no fault and is perfect. Hence why I went back this time for same surgeon. I was healing fine until journey home, the plane and taxi home had me sitting in such an uncomfortable position for so many hours that I noticed when I got home that my incisions had come apart. The lipo swelling has gone down a lot since being home but it still isn’t helping my wounds heal and come together. I am in contact with my surgeon every day and i send her pictures. It’s not an ideal situation but she is happy that the wound looks ok and she advises me step by step how to treat the winds with antibiotic cream and iodine as well as other things. She says it will take 2-3 weeks to heal which I disagree with, I think it will be at least a few months. It just shows you that you never know what will happen. My surgeon was very honest about what will happen and the drains etc so I didn’t go into the surgery blind. She has told me what to expect every step of the way. It’s just unfortunate that this has happened and it is very common for a thigh lift to open, no matter how perfect it is. It’s just because of the moist groin area it is in.
Thx you i just had a thighplasty done 6/15 2023 im 6 days out and it is hell. Im also a 5yr Gastric bypass pt ive maintained my weight thst long. Everything you have shated you are def right. So I'm really miserable right now but i had askim removal done from my tummy 1 yr ago and it wasnt like this. Anyhow i will just keep trooping ❤
I had mine done the 30th of June and I was NOT prepared for the pain and the swelling. I am muddling through some how. I hope you are doing much better now.
I have been able to sit on my toilet seat without issue. Just an fyi for those who may be considering surgery. Not everyone has this dramatic of a potty experience
I am so sorry that you went through all of this! I just had my thigh lift surgery this past Monday which was June 19 and I did not experience really any other things except for a couple that you went through. I had a hockey stick incision on both legs so through the groin down the thigh. I did not have any drains. I did not have any swelling. I was up and walking around Alone by myself with no problem after the second day post surgery. Actually, the worst part was my body placement I was in for the surgery. my hip was killing me. That was way worse than anything else. The toilet riser that I got has handles on it and I did have to sit on it sideways and hold myself up with my arms to use the bathroom and I also use the she wee cup so I could pee standing up. which I’m still using both of those they are lifesaver. But I don’t have any swelling at all. I do wear compression socks throughout the day, and I also wear the same type of shorts that I would wear as like a girdle underneath a tight dress to go to a wedding. I am able to wear my stretchy jeans. When I’m sitting at home I also use the ace bandages as compression instead of wearing the compression shorts because they’re so hot and I don’t want to be sweating.
This was so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m sitting here on RU-vid trying to get information because I feel like a lot was not explained to me either. Did you travel for your surgery or were you local? I think I might have trouble bringing a raise toilet seat in my luggage lol.
My recovery was also horrible. I ended up in wound care for 3 months including the hyperbaric chamber everyday cause of my job. I am traumatized and will never do it again. 😳 i also peed in a cup for the first week cause i was so swollen. Glad this part of my life is over.
7 weeks out. Still a nightmare. Still not able to sit and move normally. Wounds still keep opening. Unable to drive properly. Still waiting to feel comfortable. 😢
