Every now and then, I drop in to take another look at this awesome bit of nostalgia. I love outtakes. It really gives a wholesome glimpse into the crew and how they work together, and that makes me smile and laugh like the biggest dork. I wish there was more of this for seasons 2 and 3. Ah well. At least some folks are digging up episodes, since we likely wont get them on dvd or blu-ray. So there's that at least. A nice visit to memory lane. Long overdue, but, thanks for sharing this.
This was my absolute FAVORITE show when I was a kid. I'm pregnant with my first and I've been looking everywhere for episodes of this on DVD. So far, I've only been able to find VHS tapes of a couple of episodes. We should push for Disney to release the entire series!
I always felt that this show was playing on two levels for the audience…both kids and um older kids ha. This is proof. They were having a blast and that’s why we were too as kids. Ps. Anyone else find the aesthetic of the 80s and 90s frightening? I love it, but it scares me too.
A friend interviewed the executive producer for my website: she said herself that it was designed not to talk down to kids and to also entertain parents who would be watching it with their child. But these bloopers were never meant for any eyes besides cast and crew (originally).
Janie Doe I do too. I was 4 years old when this show was taken off the air I had only one of the tapes and only saw those two episodes in my entire childhood. When it happens to crappy shows it doesn't seem bad, but with a gem like this.. I feel we've all been had. I'm so upset I'm ranting in rhymes if they put AIW on DVD now would be the perfect time.
Love this show as a kid. Still singing the song that goes "you don't have to tell me twice to read the warning its got good advice, what looks good may turn out to be vice versa!" This behind the scenes now watching it as an adult is beyond funny. Thank you!
Samantha McMillan, me too! So every1 can C my sympathy 4 Elisabeth Harnois, how they threw pie in her face. My sympathy will go away when I get shot. 🔫 I wish I could write and record a song just 4 her. The whole album would B titled "Got Shot", named 4 this likeliness.
@PigsCanFly2day Richard found the outtakes on a tape in his garage which I suspect was given to him by Patrick Richwood (Rabbit) because it had a message from him on the cover. I would guess that the tape was made for one of their cast parties. He sent me the tape and I had it made into a DVD, which I sent back to him and also ripped onto my computer. So I've got the original tape. It was very nice of him! I love the script, though. It has notes and a "ha ha!" insertion in a line for the Cat.
@PuppetMuffin Yeah, me too, he's an awesome cat. I showed this to one of my friends, and everytime I log onto Skype, he goes, "David... kiss me! Kiss the hell out of me!" XP
I hardly know what he's doing these days! A couple years ago, when I interviewed him, he'd gone off to write for various things, including the Academy Awards, but he said he was interested in producing another film and doing something in theatre again. He said he'd ran into Patrick (Rabbit) at a performance in NYC.
As much as I have a major fondness for this show from childhood, some of the fashions and trends of the time really make it look dated, like the white rabbit wearing roller blades, and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum dressing like the love children of Prince and MC Hammer.
1:20 -You wonder how much experience Armelia has had.up to that point. Or, better yet, whether or not she was exposed to that much slang.- Edit: I don't know why it didn't occur to me that she was holding it intentionally (unless it was in the episode).
@@princepretzel if they are still alive i'd love to meet them or at least let the cast do a panel at a con and we can all meet all those lovely darlings
@PigsCanFly2day I guess we're friends!, but I don't know him in person. And I actually had to make a copy for HIM. lol I think Richard would let me know if he had other tapes or goodies. Before these outtakes, he also sent me a script for one of the episodes, "Queen's Best Friend". It was pure magic, I must say. :)
Damn they even cussed in the early 90's lol.Glad things never change in the year 2019.Idk if the actress who played alice was ever around to hear it lol.
You weren't sure if people used swear words 27 years ago? There's a clip in there that got slightly cut off during extraction from the vhs which had Robert (Tweedle Dum) yelling "shiiiiit!" right in front of her, by the way.
....I was singing the theme song while doing some cleaning the other day, and when the noise comes up at 0:33, my brother, on the other end of my hallway does the exact same noise......I liked it so much I had to whip my phone out and record it.......O.o
@buckowens6 You really wouldn't suspect a group of adults to curse during outtakes? Of course it wasn't on air. This was a private video for cast members!
