As a Mexican living in Mexico, I never understood the American Prosperity gospel. People here in in Evangelical churches are always praying for the same things: a job, or a salary that will be enough to put food on the table. I'm pretty sure a lot of us Mexicans wish we were rich, but most of us keep praying for being able to afford both food and rent. I can't imagine seeing people praying for riches, most Mexicans just want to survive.
