I had so much fun answering your questions about grad school and early career as a therapist and therapist trainee. There were so many questions I didn't get to! I've lifted some of them here in case you'd like to share your wisdom or advice in the comments for others who are curious:
"Clients don't want to work with me after hearing I'm pre-licensed in private practice."
"How hard will it be to find an internship after college?"
"Any advice for parents trying to start out in private practice with no money and working full time."
"In the virtual era, regulations for expats that want to receive therapy from someone in the USA."
"What's the best advice you would give to someone that wants to be a psychologist?"
"I'm working on my LPC hours now but would like to be a psychologist is it worth it?"
"What to expect at an AMFT interview? (in CA)"
"How soon before graduation can I apply for AMFT jobs!? What is recommended? (in CA)"

I did a blog post a few years ago, "Things I wish I would have known before I started counseling". We don't share this kind of wisdom enough. 5 simple points: 1. Let go of whatever idea you had that being a therapist would be 2. every roll, no matter how shitty, will bring you value 3. know your ethics, and live your ethics 4. it’s okay to be scared 5. Know your place, and also let your place know you

Freaking out before each session as a newbie! I thought it was just me. Thank you for admitting that. It makes me feel more ok to be scared and feeling like an imposter and still continuing on this path.

I actually loved this field trip/talk style! The microphone wasn't bad for me at all... and I'm deaf in one ear 😉 Thank you for this information!

I can see more clients if I’m focusing on EMDR or BSP. If it’s a mix of those and talk therapy, 25 scheduled is my cap.
