Thank you very much I was confused about studying at UniSA and I still am so the video gave me a light, now I will start digging more information and be set.
I must say, you have done a good work outstandingly, the fact that you stayed focused not trying to be entertaining trying to spice up the content not to appear boring, that when i get bored..
i really love this vid ..and i am not gonna lie when i first heard about unisa i thought it was like any other varsity out there, since i applied while i was matriculating i did not bother to do any researches about it, which i wish i did in the end..when i got accepted thats when my problems and confusions about unisa started. I did not know that everything was done online EVEN EXAMS!! which was a shock forr me, cos all i wanted was my first year to be amazing, meeting new ppl and interacting with others etc. but now i am gonna be feeling all lonely an stuff ...cos when i study i prefer studying as a group other than doing it alone..... its gonna be a long year for me😭
These time stamps were so helpful 😭 I can literally watch this video as I go through the steps and I’ll know where to start the video for which part!! Thank you for this ✨🤍
Omg I've never been so confused like being an 18 year-old first year at UNISA, especially starting my academic year in the second semester. This video really helped me sis❤❤❤
Hi Zuri. Firstly thank you so much for this video as you have helped many of us struggling students. I'm a 1st year student at unisa and I've realized that it does things online like writing and submitting your assignments. So I'd like to know what apps can I use to write/complete my assignments on? Like any preferable apps I can use? Thank you.
Hey Zuri, very insightful video! Question: can one register to study at Unisa while living abroad? Does living abroad affect your schooling and is it compulsory to be in the country while studying?
I genuinely do not know about that bc I was in country when I studied but I’ve seen that they do accept international students so I think you can try. Also there is more information on their website please go read up on it.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm really struggling getting through all the work for all 8 modules! And I don't know exactly how much I need to know to write my first assignments. I also don't know if the quizzes are important?
Everything is important. Read your tutorial letters and see what they say. Also email the lecture and ask which chapters you should read for which assignment. You’ve got this. Don’t panic. Just start somewhere. Read something it will all come together I promise 🌼
Hi I am a first year at unis Bed foundation phase teaching there are study units with activities in them do I the activities on my own and click mark as done or should I make a pdf to submit my activities is the activities being marked or is it just there to help me study?
For every module you have a tutorial letter. Please read what it says you must do and follow that. I genuinely have no idea what you are asking. But we have assignments that need to be done and submitted online or in person if they still do that. So on MyUnisa you’ll find your module read what the lecturer says and follow that
Thank you so much this is sooooooo informative ♥️🙏🏽 quick one do one receive a monthly allowance or funds from NSFAS monthly? Or just once. Asking because I received R5.2 in April and haven’t received again
Hi hun hope you are well I registered for unisa but I did it for 5 modules for first semester and someone said it's abit to much as I'm am working And I did applied for nsfas
Thanks so much sisi,♡❤️ I'm stressing about the registration fee😩, really helpful. Can I kindly ask which email do I use for sending proof of registration?
Then you can email yourself that proof of registration. You’ll get it there. You’ll see on your MyUnisa page, if you scroll down there is orange option that says MyLife email 📧 click on that to set it up first then send yourself the proof of registration after
Heyy i need help with registration😭 I have 2 pre requisite modules in my first year can I register them at second year ??because in total i have twelve modules in first year including the two pre requisite modules And first semester i have two related modules and one of them is a recommendation like module B is a recommendation for module A should I register both for first semester??
Hey thank you so much for you help tjo I really needed it. I'm gonna start my first year I'm temporary registered with unisa and I'm just waiting for nsfas to fund me I'm on level 6(ProvisionallyFunded). Idk what must I do next ? Should I said my email of payment of unisa or what until I'm approved by nsfas first because level 7 on nsfas is WAITING DOCUMENTATION) IDK WHAT THAT MEANS
If you can pay then do so but I advise that you must go to the SunnySide campus and go to the nsfas office and ask them if it shows that nsfas is finding you. Then you can take it from there.
Hi Zuri... NSFAS has not finalise my registration yet am worried cause the due date a very close. So u should wait for NSFAS or pay myself ? Closing date is 19 February 2024
If you got the acceptance from NSFAS to say that they will pay for your studies then you don’t have to pay anything. You can access your study material online if you login.
Hey girl can i ask i was funded for unisa for the first semester at unisa i passed all my modules , second semester they havent paid and i cant see my assessment results should i be worried??
Hey Zuri I just came across this video as I am searching for information with regards to the UniSA registration. I hoping I'll get an answer since this video is a year old. Please I need to ask if it is possible to register for 2023 academic with a 2022 acceptance letter? I suppose that there may be conditions that I might not be aware of. Please I need to find out if it is too late to register and/or if I need to reapply.
Good evening Sis. I’m just accepted at unisa, now my bursary holder need the acceptance letter with stamp. And they also need a form to be filled in by the university. Wher can I get help for that? Please help
Hi Zuri. I’m a first year student and when I was registering I registered for first semester modules and I didn’t see any option for registering for second semester modules. I wanted to ask if I can still register for second semester modules during the first semester once classes start?
You can register for second semester modules at the same time as first semester modules. I recommend you do that actually bc if you wait then your studies a get delayed
Good day , I obtained a national diploma from my previous university. Obtained admission at UNISA, want to study towards my Bcompt degree. Should I register for all the modules and apply for exemption after registration? Please advise
Hy. I have Diploma in Human resources management from tut. I applied for Bcom in HR(NQF 7) which is equivalent to advanced diploma. I want to register, there are level 1, 2 and 3 modules (30) modules all in number. I wanted to know which level do i choose from.
You start from level one as a first year student. Also depending on if they credited you for similar modules that you did in your previous Uni. Contact the university and ask but we all start on level 1
Hi Zuri, hope you're good. Uhm I applied and registered for 1st semester modules, but now I'm just confused about the Year modules situation. How does it work?
I love this video . Thanks hun My question is i appealed to unisa via a form called UNISA DSAR09 but no reply what do i do cause i got accepted now they rejected me cause i didnt meet 1 requirement Do i change my qualification or what? Who do i send an email to ?
Can you go to campus? They can help you there. I apply on the Unisa website directly I didn’t use other websites. Also when I struggled I went to a student advisor on campus.
So I have a problem, you mentioned that nsfas uses money for books to buy you a laptop if u selected laptop meaning I won’t get any money from nsfas or is that something I could change at campus
I think you can go to campus they might be able to change it for you but if you picked laptop then that’s what they are going to give you now. So the sooner you go change it the better
Hello sis do you perhaps know the process required to make a transfer, like in terms of nsfas knowing where I'm at and what to do with unisa to achieve a transfer
During the pandemic I wrote my exams online until the end of my undergrad but my first two years I wrote in an exam venue of my choice… so I don’t know what it’s like now but I think they still write online
So if you register the modules in second year they ones in missed in first year First semester, does this mean you won’t be doing the 2nd year first semester modules
Meaning that you are 6months late and thsy you will do your degree for those years and a half. For example if you degree is 4 years you and start in second semester means you going to do 3 and a half plus the other 6months after final year to add up to 4years
Yes technically but when you get to your Kay year they do allow you to do more than 10 modules so the 5 or 4 you are behind with you can do in your last year so you’ll do 14 modules or so in that last year.
Hey i applied in 2021 and got accepted but i didn't register cuz of funding. So now thst registration are open can I register for the same course I applied for in 2021? Like is that allowed?? Or I'm supposed to reapply again next year?
Onalenna it’s not pressure, remember I don’t work for Unisa I was a student just like You and I got all my answers by going to campus. So my best advice is to do that, pick a day and go to PTA. They will definitely help you
Yes you have to at a recommended book store that they mention in your tutorial letter. Usually it’s Van Schaik bookstore or you can download the pdf books on Telegram under documents
From what I know is that you can still do them but it means that your semester starts mid year every year and you write your exams probably the next year.
At least 60 NQF credits (5 modules of 12 credits each) in a semester; At least 120 NQF credits (10 modules of 12 credits each) per year for year modules. If you do 5 per semester then you can finish in record time… but I think you can do less than 5, maybe 3 per semester if you want.
