A human being is different from machine who only knows to function regardless of other factors except proper energy supply ( read money). Wouldn't it be good for people , if lawyers of big stature restrain from taking cases of anti-social elements , maintaining their reputation ? This way respect for and faith in judicial system will increase manyfolds in public eyes. If you think it's fair for the reputed lawyers , being highly paid , protecting these anti-social people seeking loop- holes in the laws , I can't agree with you. This is not professionlism but lust for money and favour from those people. At least then they should not bark that they're anti-corruption. I am reasonable and thus satisfied without knowlege. @@AdarshKumar-xl4yy First thing is as per Article 22 of the constitution No arrested person or accused shall be denied to consult a legal practitioner. 2nd - It is also a right of the accused under section 41 D of CRPC . Every person has the right to defend himself. Agar koi uska case nahi leta hai the court itself shall appoint him an advocate. Toh in any way uska case koi na koi ladega hi. It's not necessary that the advocate fighting for him must believe what the accused believes. And Also the Bar Council of India makes it compulsory for an Advocate or a lawyer to not to refuse to take any cases only because of the reason that it would make them unpopular or they can only refuse if they're engaged in certain other important cases. So know the rules before blabbering.
I think nowhere it is mentioned that they should try to save their client as their work is just to represent them in court. And if it is necessary them to defend culprit's action then law or guidelines should be changed. Because essence of lawyer is to represent a person not to save him from punishment. And article 22 only restrict state from denying legal service to arrested person. It has nothing to do with compulsion on any lawyer to represent a culprit. Now please do not say that innocent untill proven guilty because there are cases of open terrorism. @@trailsofmusic6549
