Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) is a mod for Minecraft that adds advanced storage and automation systems to the game. The mod includes a network-based storage system, which allows players to store items and fluids on a digital network, and various machines that can automate processes such as crafting, smelting, and more. The mod is designed to make it easier for players to build large, complex bases and automate many of the tasks involved in playing Minecraft.

I remember when ME system used to be simple yet all of its crafting. . . Now when I look at it and the guide , I feel like I need a collage degree. Just what the hell is going on and I'm a freaking IT guy with coding experience . . . You can eliminate one channel, and perhaps make the 'wiring' a little easier (especially in a mutiple setup) by combining the annihilation plane circuit. The only difference is that you configure the storage bus (back in to the main ME) to accept certus block AND certus quartz ( not dust).

If you have thermal or Mekanism sawmill the cardboard box is your friend on the budding blocks as well.

I was wondering why they felt the need to update pretty significantly how the crystals worked. Did they prehaps find that the old system was too easy/hard/old ? Not modern enough ? I don't really know, but I guess it's cool I have a lot of new things to learn (haven't played in a year).

Way too easy, people just set down whatever auto miners they had in the mod pack example quarries, and mine thousands of them. The "set it and forget it" nature of his mod was pushing his mod out of relevancy or at least when they had enough materials they could completely forget his mod and only use The ME system. This update made it 1000x harder to get the most basic and important raw resource, making people work harder for what they want, Add on the fact that you would have to replenish your auto farming system if you did not have a flawless, it made constant upkeep and management the forefront of peoples base, Unless you have have a cardboard box

I know this is a relatively old video, but why is there a need for subnetworks? Since the storage bus is whitelisting a specific item, can't it just pull it into the main system, bypassing the need for subnetworks and external storage?

Can someone explain why it stopped mining the crystals and Breaks the crystal instantly after it spawned so i got mothing even tho i followed all steps correctly and it worked and then just stops

Growing crystals is their main use. They don't just last longer though they last forever...which makes them extremely valuable.

the only thing I'm confused with is how to automatically charge certus. I want it to go directly from the certus farm -> charger -> main ME storage

Hey havent tried myself, but theres the opposite of the annihilation pane item that sucks items in, set a bus up to only take charged crystals from little pool of water, makes sense i think. will have to try it myself

the flawless budding certus quartz doesn't deteriorate, meaning you never have to "recharge" it It'll just endlessly produce Certus

How do you power everything?

AE2 Has a vibration chamber that generates power but its very very insufficient. For AE2, you'll need to use another mods power generation to keep it running.

I recommend the mod "powah" if you don't mind op stuff. The energy generation of that mod is extremely cheap and it produces LOTS of rf for comparatively little work

I really dislike the need to build an entire spatial setup for 1 block. Needing to automate the automation process to get stuff to automate more automation, who the hell finds it enjoyable.
