Hi Terry, i’m still learning I just purchased a KERVAN air boss K1 25 caliber. I also just purchased the FX V2 chronograph. I have two questions. Once you figured out your FPS how did you calculate the FPE/foot pounds of this gun that you reviewed? Second question is in terms of FPE/energy at the target, say you’re shooting at 100 yards, eventually the FPE/energy is going to dissipate depending on how far the target is. So would you have to have a chronograph near the subject in order to measure how much FPE/energy the pellet has on impact?
From your speed measurement results, if you inflate to 270 bar, it will be better. 25 MPa is just the maximum muzzle speed. If you filling to 27 MPa, the speed will be little lower, so you can got 20 rounds are in the range of 1050-1100
Hey Terry, how does the moderator preform on these? Does the camera audio do the muzzle report justice? Would be awesome to see a decibel reading on these shooting tests.
These definitely need a good moderator, i use a donny fl ronin and its still a little loud ,going to be looking into a shroud adaptor to 1/2-20 so that i can run shroud baffles along with the ronin , i have seen some guys have improved on the shroud baffles by 3d printing a better design
do a 50fpe tune with shot count with the Challenger .25 and 50yrds, if it shoots good at 50yrds and has good shot count i wlll buy it. dont care about 80fpe with 6 good shots i rather have a 60fpe regulated with 30 shots. i think this gun should have one but dont know tell i see the 50fpe 50yrds
Looking into getting this exact gun in 30. My main question is can it shoot slugs. I only ask that because the pellet selection in 30 is kinda small. If anyone could answer that it would be greatly appreciated
Hi I believe it was too cold a couple of months back when I did this test, I need to do another one now that the weathers a little warmer, the spread won’t be as bad or drastic. That stand is a Caldwel stinger. Thanks
LOL no. I’m so frustrated over this. I dropped it. It’s a 2020 model 13 1/2 inch screen 500+ megabytes, it’s a $1200 machines. I’ve left a $200 deposit with the repair guy who brought in a piece of glass that did not work so he put my broken glass back on and it’s worse than ever and now the guy just dropped off the face of the planet with my $200 it’s been weeks with no contact from this guy am kind of mad. LOL
Hey terry have you ever had an issue with airing up the bullpup challenger with a hand pump, I have air coming straight out on the opposite side of probe but gun holds air
30 Cal challenger There are two versions. One is a 24 inch barrel with conventional valve, about 110 FPE. The other is a large valve with 32 inch barrel, about 150 FPE

There is no regulator in standard configuration, but you can choose to install it. However, the power will be smaller. If you find a sweet pressure area and need more power, it is much better than regulator. for example. The sweet pressure range of this gun is 27-19MPA. In this range it’s better than regulator gun. Because you can get more power and same accuracy.
@@ShootTechSysteminc while this factory setup might give you more power initially the constant fall in FPS will make for an inaccurate gun at long distance. If all your shots are less than 25yds that might be ok but shoot 50 to 75yds and your point of aim will constantly change. My 25cal Skyhawk with a Huma reg and larger plenum is shooting 930 with a shot deviation of only 16fps over 35 shots. This gun tuned with a Huma reg will be a much more accurate gun.
@@jamesgreen9954 I have different opinions. First of all, 950fps and 1000fps will only differ by less than one inch in 50yards. If you find this sweet pressure range, you can hit 50yards under one inch in 20 shots. Then at 200 yards, if I use 40gr slug, the success rate will be much higher than 18gr pellet. At 200 yards, the wind move of 40gr bullet will be many times less than 18gr pellet If you shoot in the sweet zone, the accuracy is almost the same as the regulator. But isn't it better to reduce the wind move from more than four feet to less than one foot? You can see test video by ben. 75 yards group. He isn’t seller. You can trust him. @@ShootTechSysteminc While I agree with some of your opinions if your sweet spot is only 10 shots or so it seems like a disadvantage for the higher FPS. I’ve been tuning and changing parts on guns that fit me well and are appropriate for the real world hunting I do for the last 17yrs. I can appreciate others point of view and understand that every group of shooters if not every shooter has different requirements for the task they intend with their gun. For accuracy & shot count shooting in the low to mid 900s with as little change in FPS as possible has created the best gun for me. Also I’ve never purchased a gun out the box that couldn’t be made a better more accurate gun.
It's obvious that the gun is not regulated. Pellet speed is not really a criterium. Constant speed for accuracy is though. Your totally forgot to review the accuracy.... Ohoh. Conclusion of your review must be *not regulated *accuracy unknown Crappy review
It's a hunting gun, accuracy is expectable for hunting I own 3 of these rifles.I own very expensive English guns daystate and bsa and theoben, that are regulated for consistent shot count.
