I definitely got red fruits and cherry on this one along with the usual smokey meat, as you say its not as strong in the smoke as the regular marzen, lovely addition to their range, Im hoping they eventually make a smoked pilsner🍻
Schlenkurla is lovely remindsme of smoked tofu lol. The first time i tried it , I didn't like it 😕 then i tried it again and it won me over ,love a Schlenkurla on my shopping list ..great review as always
Makes me wonder what hefeweizens would have tasted like around the time of the Reinheitsgebot. I remember seeing a video on the whiskey tribe where they tried different types of beers on an episode. They didn't include hefeweizens dunkelweizens, or rauchbiers. For people who're all about smokey scotch whiskey I thought for sure a rauchbier would have been included.
Just adding this later in the video. I had a good laugh on your comment about politicians "I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire" I've said that in similar way about ex girlfriends and former coworkers
