It would be cool if once a month or so you did a novice skewed video, maybe with just 1000 points per side. Do a similar format to 40k in 40 minutes but take a little more time explaining how the scoring works for each turn, what moves each player is taking to fulfill each secondary, what each secondary is and why it is either easy or hard, etc. Each month change up the factions so it stays fresh and each game helps explain how a different faction plays. It would have to be a bit more casual so maybe instead of cutaways the players just say what moves they are planning at the table, just to streamline the production process.

I just want to say thank you for using terrain that was actually interesting. Most every batrep video you see is just using generic ruins, containers, maybe some big industrial pipes.

Such a shame that a casual eldar vs nids game will only ever have one ending. Great job on the report as always though guys.

Eldar is too consistent for casual, and Nids don't have any tricks big enough to overcome it with a lucky spike. This was pretty much decided on roll off. Nids needed to go first or play a much stronger list. Technically Mubin made the right play by deploying super aggressive. He had to do that + go first to have a decent chance. He just didn't win the roll. If he didn't deploy like that and lost less in Turn 1, the whole game would have played out pretty much the same way. Everything moving up a turn slower and getting shot to pieces while JT sits on objectives.

On one hand I love to see Nids but on the other I see Mubin playing them which, so far I think, always resulted in losses which hurts so much

Kudos to Mubin for being such a good sport but this video was a miss for me. It felt like watching a teenager (eldar) beat up a toddler (tyranids) for 40 mins. I suspect the terrain was largely to blame. It looks like relatively little terrain that blocks LOS against an army as fast as eldar and nothing for the tyranids to move through to get cover. Against eldar shooting thats a death sentence.

Mubin was making a lot of tactical errors, I’d say poor Mubin but he plays simply to have fun and not neccesarily to win it feels like. This edition has not been his friend

I just played a 1k learning game and my Aeldari opponent rerolled and reused all 6 fate dice on each of his turns. Did he do this incorrectly? We had fun, but I think that was possibly a big mistake.

I don’t feel that was a good Tyranid list/detachment… Regardless, we need some major buffs.

Wave Serpent vs Genestealers: "5 down" Yet.. only 4 dice were rolled? Max wounds if all hit would be 6... (12 damage) if you swapped the catapaults for a Cannon (12 if you roll all 6's for sustained hits) but that's moot. 4 dice were used to save the Genestealers. 2 wounds each... only 4 would of died. Edit: Looked back at it.. only 3 wounds were even rolled by the Waveserpent... so only 3 max could die.. wtf are thse guys doing..

I wasn’t sure who to root for, since I used to play Tyranids and Eldar.

i was really rooting for the Nids in this one. I just recently started nids with a good deal of gaunts backed by a few big beasties so Moobin's army is close to what i would bring.

I am not sure if 'dice tells stories' is accurate in this batrep. Aside from mubin's luck, might be the list determined the story. Still great looking at the painted models.
