AEM Cold Air Intake Install | Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 2013-2016

We install a AEM cold air intake on a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8. This install is for the BK2 3.8. We did an unboxing of this intake in my previous video. Intake is pretty easy to install. This will work for the 2013 to 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8.

Most cleanest and proper installation I have seen. So any increase in hp and how was it when you drove it, did it make a noticeable difference.

You hear the intake sometimes. There is a slight increase.

Only around 12-15 hp increase. Make sure to get a CAI that offers the box. Helps keep dirt out of the engine hahaha

How often would you have to replace the filter?

It varries as some people do it every 2 oil changes or so. But for the K&N filters. You get cleaning kit in the box and can just clean and re use the same filter. We do it everytime we see the filter gets dirty.

Will it void the factory warranty ? My genesis is barley at 25k miles so I don’t want to void the warranty just yet

Shouldn't void the warranty but always confirm with the dealer. Also when going back in for service you can always take it off and put the stock back on.

Waste of money. The stock airbox with a K @ N is better. It has been dyno proven. Buy a Tros potent booster. It is the best mod you can do on these cars.

@@hiimappy nah he's right, any short ram intake for 3.8s will be like a hot intake due to heating in gens, a true cold air intake would be for the best gains, and k&n filter on its stock air box would be beneficial gains, you'll actually lose a bit of power with these short rams after tunes. they sound good though lol

PuReAbelxo yeah sadly , that gdi has a hot engine bay , the true cold air intake goes down by the fog light from 3point8performance , but beware of hydro lock if your car is low low
