Aemond is such a great villain. Mostly it stems from the from the fact that he shouldn't be. He could just as easily have been the hero of the story but everything in his life has pushed him into that role and now he has fully embraced it. Ramsay, Joffrey, Roose, Euron these are pure villains with little complexity despite being entertaining and great villains to root against and watch on screen. With Aemond you kind of feel disappointed in him for making the choices he makes but you can understand why he makes them from his perspective. He allows his darker urges to overwhelm his senses and now he's consumed by them. Such a brilliantly written and portrayed character. He needed for more screen time in season 2 but I guess they wanted to develop Aegon more since he was sidelined in season 1 for Aemond.
I still think Aemond was just F'ing around with Luceres. All of Vaghar's actions were harassment and intimidation, up until Aarax flamed her. She got mad and killed him for daring to attack her. Aemond could have had her kill the young pair at any time, and tried to stop Vahgar when he figgured out what she was going to do.
He's a sociopath. He enjoys hurting people. I don't like nor enjoy him. Their sister is the only compelling character in that family. Actually, this show has good female characters. Other than the King, all the men were boring. Characters I've seen before and offer nothing new.
