When my high school choir sang this, the sheet music we were sent had a misprint with half the actual tempo. Still sounded cool, but definitely different. We didn’t find out about the misprint until we sang at a competition in Detroit where Stacey Gibbs was actually a judge. Definitely an interesting clinic afterwards.
No no no y’all all missing the most shocking thing!!! At 2:16 some soprano is up there literally in the heavens I mean baby girl was belting and yet it still blended so well that y’all missed it like I’m over here replaying this cause whew whoever she is she wasn’t playing no games with this song.
Guys are over powering in here. I like it. My choir doesn't have as much guys so you hear mostly girls. Either that or we just don't sing as loud and confidently as we should be. Either way, I am suggesting we listen to this so we can learn from it.
