just as i thought there were no new genres to discover I get recommened this channel. Fantastic work. My rabbit hole was something like - lofi hip hop > City pop > Phonk > vaporwave > mallsoft > jungle DNB > breakcore If you have any other genre recomendations I'd love to hear them. Sometimes it feels like I've listened to everything lol
hey stranger! recently ive come across a genre called 'math rock'. it's been doing the same stuff to me that discovering breakcore has- which was like discovering new melodies and arrangements. Tickles my brain itch!
listen to berlioz, incredible new jazz house project olfschool full-on psytrance is also sick IMO, I'm a big fan of vibe tribe and spade Also listen to hudson lee and alexander panos and echo map and tom finster and false noise and anyone else on upscales Also should go without saying if you already listen to city pop but moe shop and macross
What video games actually had this kind of music ? When I look back, most of the soundtracks I can find are much more tame. But I feel like I heard this music growing up SOMEWHERE, I just can't find any good examples.
Captivated by what's happening with that timer on the bottom left. Handles incrementing the minute counter fine, but every other 10th second skips back ten seconds? 18, 19, 10, 21, 22 etc.
and no acidgvrl (🤢🤢🤮🤮) it gives me undescribable rage when youtube recommends some shitty acidgvrl song with a title like "I sent feet pics to buy crack lol"
do you program these drums or use loops? just curious what the process is if you program them. I've always loved Aphex Twin and wanted to make drums like him. slightly different but along the same vein
Either way works, the meta tends to favor using samplers, some people will build them out of raw kits, and I've had good results from chopping samples on the timeline
I low key high key get annoyed at how people talk through entire sets. Like cmon. I know people like to socialize but I feel like a lot of people talk more than listen.
