Noticed you could top load & was impressed with the velocity when my kids tried to prime it and it double loaded, but I honestly wouldn't have thought to mention it if it hadn't been a huge focus in walcoms last video.
as an owner of both of these blasters, both are awesome! the nexus is more versatile, you can add more stuff to it, quick change the spring. the aeon is CHEAP in price not in quality! it shoots HARD. there is less attachment options but its designed to be a more compact run and gun kinda blaster. if you can afford just get BOTH! you wont be disappointed. Happy foam flinging!!
I cant wait for the first Adventure Force Pro flywheel blaster. Hopefully they'll do something crazy like select fire and canted cages, there's a lot of possibilities !
I am completely against top prime blasters. I always add a pump if I can. But I will be getting an aeon because.. really to give all the support I can to Dart zone so they will keep up the great blasters. Also I love smg’s... great video. Well structured. And hits all the marks. I like the sitting chilling talking about blasters vibe you guys got going on. Keep up the good work.
you can still get an underhand pump kit for the Aeon Pro via PalmtopSupply on Etsy. In fact, I just got one because my injured hand is too weak to top-prime the Aeon effectively. There is one version which handles both full-length and half-length darts, and another cheaper version which handles just short darts. Each is roughly the price of the full blaster, plus shipping may hurt depending on where you live.
I currently only have the Aeon Pro, but I plan on going down to my local Walmart and picking up a Nexus Pro as well. Thanks for the comparison video! Edit: Well, guess what I just did?
I am a big fan of Both these blasters. I slightly prefer the Nexus for my own use. But like you guy said, that $25 for the Æon is pretty much impossible to beat. I plan on getting 2 Æons as loaners. I’d like to get another Nexus to paint and personalize.
@@drflux That makes sense. I think after my first year I was at around 4-5k? So that makes sense. Still wanna see your channel push forward with more subs though. I got into this hobby since I wasn't able to afford to do it as a kid, and I just recently started tinkering with trying to mod a blitzfire..which lead to a broken blitzfire, I'm still super new, lol.
The Nexus wins in 5 categories and the Aeon wins in 2 categories. The price is the largest point spread but you essentially get another Aeon worth of bits that come with the Nexus. So the value per item in the box is the same. Maybe buying two Aeon is worth it more to some but if you want a pump action and stock then you have to go Nexus.
I want to mention that if you have the capability to mod, you can mod the Aeon Pro to be pump action and have a stock, which for some can be a decent trade-off in terms of price, performance, and size. Not to mention the top-loading as well. Here's an example: reddit.com/r/Nerf/comments/j97q4r/aeon_pro_carbine_update/
My Personal opinion, The Nexus has much better mod potential,(screw less spring/fps swap, replaceable forgrip, and stock) But the aeon is a cheaper entry point. That said the nexus does come wit more mags and darts as well as a stock and spare O rings. Both good blasters by the looks of them. Id say, if you have $50 get the nexus but if you can only stretch to $25 the Aeon wont disappoint. For me. I'm not a big fan of top prime so would probably prefer the Nexus.
Got to say I think you missed the fact that the Nexus Pro technically has more potential than the Aeon Pro by a pretty significant margin. on the Aeon Pro you can pretty much only put an optic on the amount of rail( which is on the front mind you) that it has, whereas the Nexus you can put sling points, a shotgun and, an optic while still changing out the foregrip. the fact that it has a pump grip instead of a top slide also is pretty significant, because that means you are less likely to move where you're aiming, having a third point of contact also is pretty significant for the Nexus and, if you were to put a scar Barrel on both of them the Nexus Pro would be more accurate more often since you wouldn't have to worry as much about shaky hands and that top Prime. they may both be able to get about the same performance boost but the fact that you can swap out Springs (or caps) more readily on the Nexus Pro then you can the Aeon Pro is pretty significant for anyone who plays several different game types in a day. if you were to ask me I'd say that they're both in pretty much the same place with the Nexus Pro edging out slightly just because of its overall potential.
the accuracy is really good. with the nexus, at 20 feet i can land all 12 half darts into a can with about a 4inch grouping (i used a big can laying down and shot the bottom of it so it wouldnt move) and at 20 i can also get 3-5 darts through the crack of an open door(the side with the hinges, the gap was about 1/2-1 inch wide). accuracy of the nexus is awesome!
The Spamf is still a great idea, more so if you think of it as a super-cool FalconFire upgrade. But there’s no denying that you get the same functionality in the much cheaper Aeon Pro.
Focused observation, the aeon won by 7 points however it got 15 points ahead based on price which means majority leans toward the Nexus. So long at the price point is forth less then everything else the Nexus is worth the extra charge. That said I'm absolutely buying probably 2 aeon as I already own a nexus. Probably going to look into modified pump handles to add hocks so I can duel wield them.
With 3, the aeon will drop the first one out of barrel of tilted but super awesome. Can you do an official will it shotgun?? I think it would make an awesome backup with it's size and power. Also finally getting that subscribe button 👍👍 Edit: realized you did the shotgun thing with the nexus 🤦
I just got an aeon pro . And I'm very please with it out of the box . If your a crafty person you will see little things you can add here and there . I want to put a removable stock on it .
I've got to object about both getting equal on moddability; sure the Aeon is highly moddable but the Nexus is Simply. More. Moddable. The Nexus lost 15 points on value simply because the Aeon is cheaper, but features like adjustable fps in literal seconds gain the Nexus no advantage on the scorecard for mod potential. I get the Aeon is more moddable than everything but the Nexus, but the Nexus is unrivalled in value compared to everything but the Aeon. It just doesn't seem like the scoring is consistent there. I also feel like the value kept being raised in the Aeon's favour, when it had already picked up so many points on value out of the gate. Ultimately I can't disagree with the final result, with the Aeon scoring slightly better overall due to its cheaper price point.
I personally think Aeon vs SPAMF would have been a better comparison bc I think most hobbyists will have both at least one rifle-type blaster and smaller “pistol”/secondary/lightweight blaster. For people just getting started in the hobby, picking just one of these two def makes a lot of sense though (guessing this is the intended audience here). I personally won’t prob pick up an Aeon bc I have a SPAMF (although I may well have gotten an Aeon if it was available a year ago), which I like for its smaller size, ~130 FPS (HvZ), and slightly easier prime (9kg in mine). I did pick up a Nexus to fill the super stock springer niche in my arsenal (~190 FPS TC for competitive, NG-2/~100fps Sryfoid for super stock, and a bunch of stock blasters
@@drflux If you can afford it and want to give back to the community, SPAMF still fills a niche imo, although most people will favor the Aeon due to price. I wonder if GFZ speculated that Aeon would be SPAMF competitor, as he made the files public pretty recently.
Personally i thought the difference in price point score is too high, i would score the nexus 40 instead of 35 because it still comes with more stuff in it. Mod-ability is the same? Its much easier to change the spring on the nexus than the aeon. Ergonomics, without a stock, i would only give the aeon 10/12. Range should be the same for both. I don’t care which one wins but the scoring system seems way too subjective for me instead of something measurable. But thats just me.
You pay for the nexus for the POTENTIAL it offers, you purchase the aeon if yiu just want a hard hitter. The nexus is a hard hitter and a customizable blaster to the core, the aeon is more just focusing on being a hard hitter, a hand cannon
Terrible comparison if going to compare price but then not give the nexus pro more points for having two magazines for capacity just becuase its more expensive? And then you point out how the nexus pro is easier to mod then give them the same score again where is the consistency. I understand it's subjective but c'mon
Comparing these things bone stock is like reviewing a pack of raw ground beef. It makes no sense, because nobody's going to actually use it like that. My Nexus and Aeon are so heavily modded they don't even resemble these any more.
