Breathtaking...and ofcourse the back ground music just made it magical. Thankyou SIL and Ukarumpa for being are core being of part of PNGs history. God Bless you all.
I was a member of the Ukurumpa Chess Club whilst a student at ANHS from 1994-95. It was known to us as Windy Valley. Though I'm a citizen it's terrible I've never returned there. After seeing this clip I seriously planning to visit my old school and the Windy Valley.
Eastern side of life, I love my place especially the Koputa valley backdrop of Aiyura valley where I used to travel from Barabundora health center to Aiyura with my sick wife in the 1990s. Thank you and God bless this unique location in PNG
Thank you for posting this. My son will be going to Ukarumpa for his career as a linguist in three weeks, and it helps soothe this mom's heart to see what a beautiful place he will be living in. ^_^
He's going to a good place with a very supportive community! I just returned from Ukarumpa after being there for two years. Be at ease, it is a good place. Much love!
I kept watching this footage over and over and I even downloaded it. I thanked God for this wonderful country (PNG). And for Skyborne Visions, you are very talented. Keep serving the Lord by proclaiming His wondrous beauty through nature. 100% all the way...
Watched this and the 4K one about 5 times. Really great footage! Will be returning for a short visit to ukarumpa in a few months. Thanks for taking me back. ☺️
When I was very young, 4-6 years, my parents worked here. My dad was a high school teacher for the missionary kids and my mom was a nurse in a local clinic. I remember we lived on an oval street on a hill. It would be cool to see our old house if you still live in that area and know what I mean by oval street. Your video quality is breathtaking and so detailed! Thanks and God bless
Thank you Daniel. I haven’t lived there since 1989-just visited a few times since then. I have a nephew though with a drone that lives on top of the hill... contact me through www.skybornevisions.com and I’ll see if I can put you in touch with him.
Wow! Greetings from Cairns FNQ. PNG is so close, and such a beautiful country with such great potential for the future. I've only been to East New Britain but I feel PNG has so much potential and so much to offer. I'd really love to be part of it. Thanks for posting :)
This is a sacred country where everyone loves Jesus and you only come to live because you loved Jesus more than anything apart. God bless your stay on the paradise island where God lives.
Thank you for an excellent panaroma. This is typical PNG at its best. However, It seems dry and some areas seem to have recently burnt bush areas while some are producing smoke. Generally a very got drone footage.
Most locals are subsistence farmers who practice slash and burn farming. So, large areas are regularly intentionally cut down and burned regardless of how dry it is.
Well done! Used to live there, lots of memories! I hate asking this, but what drone did you use? I'm actually about to buy one myself and I'm really impressed with this footage.
Because they lack a little melanin. :). I was trying to avoid filming anyone honestly, but on this day some of the residents from this town were playing frisbee football. They mostly consist of missionaries from all around the world: Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, etc that have their support system and schools based there in the Eastern Highlands.
