Aerial Inspection of Areas Affected by Mayon Volcano Activity 6/14/2023

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visits the Province of Albay on 14 June 2023 and conducts an aerial inspection of areas affected by the increasing volcanic activity of Mount Mayon.
Data issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) today at 5:00 AM reflects that the situation in Mount Mayon remains under Alert Level 3 where there is relatively intensified level of unrest/magmatic unrest.
Furthermore, according to the latest report of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) - Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC), around 9,688 families or 37,927 individuals in over 26 barangays have been affected, as the volcano continues to spew lava and sulfuric gas.
National government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs) and other partners continue to monitor and provide assistance to the affected communities.
